750 Modern Hebrew Verb Roots: Dual Language Hebrew-English

I’m obsessed with this book. I’ve used it for myself as well as my children to broaden. I understanding vocabulary, grammar, and more. Following the text is easy and extremely informative. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Arrived in a box. Was surprised to see how thick the dictionary is, definitely has many verbs, nouns, and adjectives that build off of the root letters. Was very sad to see mine arrived with damaged corners 😔. Very sad feeling. Also, I was hoping to find a Verb table to visualize all the forms of each verb, but, that is not the case here. Also sad. Instead, this book only shows you the type of verb (nifal, piel, pual, hifil, etc.) and then it shows nouns and adjectives that are derived from this. A positive thing is that it has plenty of sentences showing you how the nouns and verb is used. I recommend that if you buy this book, you already have an understanding of verb conjugation such as past, present, future, male, female, singular, and plural. that being said, this will be a great addition to anybody with a desire and drive to learn more verbs. Trying to construct all the verb tables by yourself from this book will make a great training exercise.

The book has a clear layout (alphabetical by root) and logical organization (first verbs, then nouns, then adjectives and so on), making it easier to navigate through the vast content. All of the writing is quite compact but clearly necessary due to the size of the book and amount of content. I would not suggest this as the first book a Hebrew learner ever picks up, but it definitely would be interesting and instructive to look at once they've learned the basics of Hebrew. Overall, this book stands out as a thorough and practical guide for anyone looking to improve their Hebrew.
