My Cartridges Appear To Be Genuine HP
I'm not sure how supershopper and David C Contorno determined that they received knockoffs. I've purchased 3 cartridges directly from Amazon, (CE250X, CE251A and CE253A) and they all came in HP boxes with HP holographic security seals. The seals on my packages did not have QR codes, but according to the HP website, "Some Original HP Ink/ Toner cartridge packaging still carry the previous security seal. These are genuine HP products and should not be mistaken as counterfeits." The seals were both moving image style.I tried verifying the serial numbers online, but the HP link supplied gives Error 404-Not Found. I tried calling HP, but got shuffled into a dead end and gave up.Hopefully David or supershopper will be able to tell us how they determined they got knockoffs. Until then, I'll assume what I bought is original.I agree with Paul. It would be nice to have an X version of the color cartridges.

Guess We Need to Switch to JIT Purchasing For Our Toner Cartridges
Bought this in 5/2015 to have on hand for when the cartridge in the printer ran out. Opened it in 10/2015 and much to our surprise it contained a used cartridge of the wrong color (yellow instead of cyan). Box was sealed, we have no idea how it happened, but needless to say we weren't pleased to discover we had a worthless cartridge and the return window had closed months ago.

Would be nice to have an X version
Would be nice if they offered a cartridge rated for double the amount of prints. My organization tends to use more Cyan than any other toner with our printer. Otherwise, works great as you would expect any genuine HP cartridge to work.

Title and reviews a bit misleading
I thought I was getting a genuine HP cartridge, but I should have known that it was a replacement. Possibly decent quality, but I never opened the package. I could buy a replacement cartridge for way less, so I returned it. I would rather by a remanufactured cartridge versus a knockoff.
