Love these pens!
Love these pens! The ink dries quickly and are bold. Love the color. Even better than G-2 bold ink pens.

Great color and line
I have only just discovered 1mm width pens, and I wanted to find something I would like. I am a huge fan of Sarasa's Gel pen line, they are similar in quality to Pilot G2, but cheaper. Sarasa pens don't have as much ink in them, though, they don't last as long. The Blue-Black ink is a great color, just shy of black, but it's easy on the eyes, I will probably get some smaller nib pens with this ink. It feels fancy. The pen is pretty well made, but it's a disposable, don't expect it to be built like a tank. I do like the width for a lot of purposes, but writing on lined paper usually wants a .5 or .7 at most. The ink is a bit wet and it makes thick lines. It's a great fit between normal writing pens and a fine marker. I have done some simple sketching with it and it's a nice pen for that purpose, but mind you, it won't match black markers and ink you might want to use with it. May not be a daily use pen if you write on lined paper, but if you are unconstrained by convention, try it!

Blue/Black Ink?
All the writing on the box is Japanese, there’s a label in English that says Black Ink. The ink really looks black to me so I took off one * the pen is blue. So I think it’s a blue pen with black ink. Which is unusual since the color of the pen and the color of the ink are usually the same. If I could read Japanese it would help. Writes well so I’m happy about that. This is to update my rating change to ***** when I wrote on white paper it was so dark I thought it was black + it said black ink on the label. When I wrote on a pink post it - it looked navy. So the ink is black blue, they should just call it navy.

I use nothing but Zebra gel pens!
Before the Sarasa, Zebra gel pens used to come in a style called Jimnie (not a clicker and had a cap on it). They came in the most gorgeous "antique" colors and the blue was my favorite. When I found these, I could tell they were a different shade of blue than the American version I have, so I had to have them. The medium point is 0.7, which is what I am used to, these are 1.0, so a bit thicker, but I would rather go thicker than thinner. Very pleased with this purchase!
