StellarStainless Steel Traditional Potato Masher

Good masher
Only negative is that it is not totally solid so therefore dirt can get trapped if not cleaned properly on the inner edges of the uprights. Other than that, no problem

You only get what you pay for.
And it's true with Potato Mashers as much as anything else. Where this product scores is that the handle and the mashing face are all one piece of steel. So no worries about dodgy welds and soldering giving up the ghost after a year or so. We both love it and I'm sure it will outlast me and the wife!

Very smart looking & easy to clean but not perfect. Someone, one day, will make the best masher ever. It's not this one, sadly.
Finding a good masher has been a task and a half for years now. Whilst this is the best one I have found so far its a pity that it is not sturdier, it tends to want to bend if you are a bit tough on it so you have to be careful with it, also the top of the handle is the wrong shape, it almost cuts into your hand.

Great finish
Not much to say about this product other than that it meets its function. With a great finish and solid design, it is very easy to use due to its easy to grip handle

Mashes well, designed by a moron
Received Stella masher on time no problem there. Nice looking, washes easy and mashes potato good, what it would be like on swede ive yet to try. No doubt it was designed by some highly qualified and supposed intelligent person with a string of qualifications as long as your arm. Who in his (or hers) right mind would design a device that has to be pushed into whatever it going to mash and leave a wedge shape on the part that you push on, perfect for digging into your hand.Would it be so much trouble to make a masher with a ball end on the handle ?, as is on the Spudnick ( Lakeland ) i have one of those but not always practicle to use on smaller quantities, but its absolutly brillant with a big pot full to mash. Seems like there is a avenue here for James Dyson to look at with his forward thinking. Such a simple addition to the masher would make it significantly easier and less painfull to use, and all mashers ive looked at seem to be the same, hence the two stars rating

Common Sense.
Wow, a proper masher that don't wobble on a pathetic plastic head or cut your fingers off on a ridiculous 2D metal 'L' shaped design. I can now torture potatoes happily without their revenge. Cheers!
