Nice and warm. It's been colder than a witches tit lately and it is far warmer than a knit beanie. Sheds a bit of Chinese rabbit hair but I stuck mine in the dryer for 10 minutes, NO HEAT and that fixed that. Probably won't pull a lot of ho's wearing it but my wife appreciates that aspect of it.

In Wisconsin, we had some brutally cold weather this winter and this hat stood up to all of it, even with wind chills below -50F. My head was never the least bit cold while wearing it and the ear flaps helped immensely too. The ear flaps do muffle sound a lot, sometimes making it difficult to understand speech at a normal volume, but they're warm, and so, I don't mind at all. Overall, it's a great, warm winter hat that I highly recommend.

I was looking for a real-fur lined, trapper-style hat to fit my small head. I purchased this in size S/M and it fit perfectly. The materials and styling are high-quality. The hat would be 5 Stars if it weren't for the small loose hairs which shed and get everywhere. I tried shaking them out outdoors, and beating the fur lightly with my fingers to complete the shedding of the loose ones, but I'm not sure if the shedding will stop over time or not. For $36, I don't want to deal with the hassle and will be returning it. However, for others with a bit more patience, this hat is super warm and cozy and the fur is very, very soft. Among the trapper-style hats I saw online, it is a good value-- especially for those with small heads seeking a fit, and for those who don't mind the loose hairs.

It’s very warm and cozy and I like the way it looked with the flaps strapped over my head. I hate to echo all the reviews saying that the rabbit fur was everywhere but it didn’t take long for me to feel like a crazy person pulling fur off my face and my mouth over and over again, until I put it back in the bag and sent it back. Perhaps it’s the nature of fur and I’m just not used to it? Maybe it stops shedding after a while? Lately I have been thinking long term with the items I purchase and I had a flash forward of me in that hat In the freezing cold with bald spots where the fur used to be.

The hat looks fine and with good quality, some fur are loose but it is expected from new fur products.Size Fits as expected. my head is 57cm, so i ordered the "Large/X - Large" (59 - 61cm) size, Fits Good, it isn't tight or loose.Feels great, soft, no bad smell at all, feels pleasant, looks good and fits well.I added few pictures i hope it helpsI'm happy with my purchase for now.Didn't try it outside yet.I'm a person that really hates cold wind hitting my head / having my head exposed, So I will update in the next few days how warm it really is outside.** UPDATE **Tried it for the last two days, feels great, warms really good, found the loose fur alittle bit annoying but i believe it will stop in the next few days.

I had to trade in for this one. The first one I got , came in a large and had fake fur, It was okay There were no sizes to choose from. This one came in sizes, and it makes a real difference. Very comfortable, very warm. I've gotten lots of compliments on it. Kind of overkill for Georgia winters but, hey, it's nice to be warm. I love this hat and nobody's going to take it from me.

Size was perfect, the fur on the ears was great, and the quality of the fabric was also good. but the fur on the forehead is damaged. It has a line going across it where most of it is missing. See picture. The fur portion is also incredibly dusty. Should have just got the mad bomber.

One of the better looking ushankas out there, and definitely keeps you warm. The only thing keeping from 5 stars is the loose hairs that sheds easily.

What a beautiful hat. Hands down, the nicest I've seen certainly for the price and workmanship.I have ordered 2 of the faux fur hats, one for my husband and one for myself for doing barn chores--his is corduroy, my other is taslon khaki--but this one is fur. When I read the description I thought it meant that this was partly faux fur and partly rabbit fur--but the entire fur surface is real fur, nothing fake about it. The inner part of the hat above the flaps and forehead is nicely quilted fabric, with the fur being the flaps, the front flap, around the ear flaps--which also have elastic and buttons to put the little flaps up and hold them. Under the small ear flaps are well constructed holes, so you can hear--a snowblower or plow or whatever. The back of the hat is also fur lined.The back of the hat has a neat customization not seen on other brands of hat--you can cinch it like the back of a ballcap, so if you are between sizes, you can adjust and make it fit.I know products like this draw the ire of some, and that's fine, you need not wear it. But let's be honest--I live in Canada, and Canada is COLD right now--viciously cold, colder than it's been for many, many years. We are not city dwellers--we make our living working outside in all manner of weather, every single day, and keeping alive means keeping your head, where most heat is lost--warm. Fur, being a covering of animals--is warm. Itsimply is warmer than the best fake fur, by virtue of it being fur. That may save my life if I'm stuck in a snow drift in the car on some barren road.While I dislike the use of "farmed fur"--I tell myself that if this rabbit was hunted for food, most people would have no problem with it. And having used that fur bearing animal for food--it's a sin to waste it's fur. So that's what I'm telling myself--this rabbit may have made a meal for someone who needed it, and it's useful pelt made a hat. I will cherish the hat and thank the animal who gave it to me, the same as I thank my chickens daily for kindly giving me their eggs.The fur is lovely and soft, as rabbit fur usually is.

Great fit. Quality product. Works great at -25 C. Almost looking forward to -40 to see how it is. Feels like a soft cat is snuggling with my head to keep me warm.Turns out this hat was great in winter. -40 worked beautifully. Lasted three years before I lost it on a bus but it was still in good shape. Was priced at around $35 at the time

Our daughter was absolutely in love with this hat, but unfortunately, lost it at school. She was very upset. Will definitely buy again once we know she won’t lose it :)

Great product, arrived a day earlier than expected, real fur, warm and looks like a high quality product.As for Amazon I have been purchasing at a high rate for 5 years and they are the best and most consistent with regards to high levels of customer service I have ever seen

Wonderfully soft warm hat. Great for trips to the barn to feed the horses on the really cold or windy days. Quite lightweight so maybe you'd want something more substantial if you were going to be outside in the cold for long periods.
