Replaced an existing 24 Port switch with POE ports that had a fan failure. I removed the existing product, put this in its placed. Plugged in all the cables and all computers on the network worked normally. This switch has programmable features by logging into it. It is a managed switch if you need it to be. I did not need to make any changes. This unit has POE ports which I do use a few for cameras. Another reason for buying is that is a "heavy duty" unit. My router and switches are in service 24/7. For me the Zyxel was a "plug and Play" device. I run a home office but I have multiple computers and printers and use 16 of the 24 ports. I've repaired the previous switch and will use it as a spare.
