Fastest thing in the build
My boss tasked me with repairing a computer he received for free. It didn't have a hard drive, so I slapped one of these in. It makes a HUGE difference on an older pc. It cracks me up, because the last component on my personal build that I need to upgrade is my hard drive. His computer boots up in about 10 seconds-5 depending. His load screens on games are about 4 seconds or so max. The rest of his pc isn't bad, but the drive helps SO much it's insane. Think about how much time you waste waiting for something to load, or transfer or something. Remember dial up? Dial up is your old spinning drive and this thing is fiber. It is really night and day.Installing it was a breeze, I bought the screw on amazon at the same time. I had to go into BIOS and change a few settings (old motherboard. z97 from asus. It disabled ALL the PCIE slots, and when i put the wifi card in, I had to use the 16 pin, and disable the 3.1 usb slots. Get rid of the SLI card. Real fun times....).Anyway, I'm gonna put one in my computer in a month or two, just because I Liked what I saw.

MP510 960gb - worth every penny!
This nvme is wonderful! When paired with a true pci-e 3.0x4 slot - it runs every bit as well as the top end Samsung drives in real world scenarios. The key is “real world scenarios”. If you look for “professional” reviews on these types of drives, Samsung is always at the top... but the benchmarks they use typically aren’t realistic in day to day normal use. The reality is simple... this drive for under $130 (I paid $121 for mine ships & sold by amazon) or Samsung equivalent (970 evo plus) for close to $230. Absolutely NOT worth the premium for Samsung. This drive uses Toshiba memory chips along with a Phison e12 controller. That combo has shown to be rock solid reliable AND put out wonderful performance (other brands use the same combo - google it to get the list and specific reviews). Corsair’s software isn’t as flashy as Samsung, but still completely usable and simple enough for any novice user. It tracks the drive temperature, assists with secure erase / drive optimization if needed, and also does any firmware updates for you. And if anything should fail - the drive has a 5yr warranty to boot.

An NVME SSD that's fast, reliable and budget friendly.
There are a lot of NVME SSD's on the market but every experienced PC builder knows that they're not all created equal. After much research on the current crop, I settled on two Corsair 1 TB (960) MP510 NVME SSDs. I find them to be everything Corsair has stated them to be, Pro Quality. I shoot and edit HD, 4k and high resolution videos and photos all done on various high end equipment. These drives are consistently fast on throughput during the copy, editing, and rendering process. They do not drop to slow speeds when their cache is full like most of todays NVME SSD drives. Yes, there are a handful of faster drives on the market but you'll pay alot more for them, especially at 1 TB capacities. These are the best bang for your buck IMHO. PC Build: Ryzen 3700x, Radeon 5700, Corsair Trident Z 3200 32GB Ram, 2 Corsair MP510 NVME SSD's, Asrock Steel Legend X570 Mobo. Thermatake 700 watt PSU.

Working, BUT do this before installing fresh windows
So i have a gigabyte mobo, a cheap one, so i had an issues where windows would not install on this drive, and would not let me format the drive either. So i did the following :Went into BIOS disabled SATA and disconnected all Sata connections from the PCRe ran windows installation, now its being detected, formatted and installed.Re-enabled Sata in BIOS, re-connected disksWorking with no issues.Loving the drive, i have no complaints, if i had more x4 lanes i would buy it again and again.Bought this for OS and Gaming, so far not disappointing.

Cheap, fast and beautiful.
nvme ssd has been thought of by many as expensive and ineffective. But I bought this nice nvme for only $114 and when the promotion was applied, it cost only $110 including shipping to Korea. This is surprising considering the price of another ordinary sata, 1tb ssd.The sticker on the MP510 looks like it can act as a heat shield. It's a bit disappointing that it doesn't work with the icue, but the performance of the ssd itself is excellent. But I have to say one word. The Corsair ssd toolbox was the worst of many migration tools I've ever used.

Great first M2 drive...
I bought this as the boot drive for my i7 9700k build. It was very easy to install, and my PC is lightning quick. I wish it was a full 1TB, but that’s a small thing. I have been mainly a SSD drive guy. This type of drive is a game changer. Opening programs is so much faster. If your board supports this type of drive, I’d say take the jump without any hesitation. It truly is a game changer...

Works fine with Linux AMD/X570/3600 install
Bought this for the second drive in a new build to install Linux Mint/Cinnamon on. BIOS recognized it, Linux installed fine (at least as smoothly as my skill level allowed), boots into Linux just fine with this drive is set as the boot drive in the BIOS, loads blazing fast for all programs installed and tested out so far. It's on an Asrock x750 motherboard with AMD 3600 CPU, so far it's all good.

Great price/performance, especially if you can catch it on sale.
If you catch this thing on sale, it might be the best M.2 drive for the money. As Gen4 M.2 drives start becoming the golden standard, I expect to see these Gen3 drives drop in price. This is great for consumers who want a great product for less money, as you will not notice any appreciable difference in speed in Gen3 vs Gen4.

Stopped working a year and a month past purchase
I bought this on Feb 9 2019, it stopped working today, 20 March 2020. I tried to return it and was told "past the return period". I thought all electronic items come with 2 years warranty?Anyway it is a crap drive if it breaks in a year, warranty or not.

Super fast! But only 894 GiB
The drive is fast and easy to install but unlike advertised its only 894 GiB.Do notice the difference between GB as advertised and GiB (which is gibibyte) which is the storage unit used by MS Windows (and other OS I suppose).I was confused by it after finding out the difference. The amount of storage I expected to receive was significantly higher than the actual storage. When there are 1 TB options out there 960 GB is already lower but finding out that it is actually 894 GiB is pretty disappointing...Most other brands advertise the amount of storage you eventually receive, not Corsair apparently..

Worked fine in usb 3.1 caddy, but started having trouble with freezing up with Catalina
Hard to know how fast can go as the caddy and usb 3.1 are both slower. Works great though. Very fast portable disk.**Updated to say had endless trouble with Catalina and usb c cable in caddie, disk freezing up randomly, so returned.

As fast as any PCIe 3 NVMe drive will get really. Don't overlook it!
Well you can nitpick the odd 50MBps difference here and there but you won't notice.Fast, value for money and runs pretty cool. Worth trying over the usual Samsung choice.

Good Choice in NVMe
Impressive solid performance at a great price.Bought this and a WD NVMe at the same time. This has better performance. And unlike the WD is still working a month later.
