Rikon 12V Li Drill/Impact Driver Combo Pack W/2 Batteries Kit

Didn't take long for a Milwaukee fanboy to comment on how much they got there M12 kit for years ago. I waited a little bit to buy this set so I didn't get it for 49.99. I got it for 52.99 and wish I got them earlier, because they're worth more than the price. Rikon actually have larger tools sold on woodworking sites like Woodcraft. They have very good tools and these are good too. I hope they make more tools that use these batteries. First the batteries last pretty good after being left out in the cold. I did this to when it was -11 to see how they would work the next day. They worked like any normal battery would work left out in the cold. I decided to first try these out on my suv on some light stuff. Were I was impressed was the test I did with highway signs. I used 2 post from the damaged post bin. One was really old and weathered and the other was newer and had been hit by a dump truck. I cut each down to 4 feet in length and started my test. I drilled 20 holes in each post using both drills. I put 20 bolts (impact only), 20 screws, and even spade bits (impact only). I also used these to build a mudroom bench and horse mount steps. I would highly recommend before they get too high in price. I own many different tool brands and these are good. They feel well made and you can order more batteries and charger from the Rikon site. These are made in china. My only complaint would be just the case. It's okay, but not one of the best. Also register your tools like I did.

Love this product for the price .do have issue with quality of battery .they seem to slip out of device and the casing on battery is very weak but for price it's a decent around the house tool kit .May want to consider a device with little more torque if needing for everyday professions business use.

Save your money for Milwaukee m12 set. I got a Milwaukee m12 brushed drill, impact, 2 x 1.5ah batteries, 1 x 3ah battery, and charger a few years ago for $100 on black Friday. This set is not even half as good as the m12 tools. The rikon batteries lose power when cold. A fully charged battery left out in the truck in 20 degree temperature will only show one light on battery meter. At room temperature they preformed well enough for small projects around the house.

Cheaply made. I've used mine for a little over 18 months. My first battery fell out and shattered while I was using it about 6 months in. My only other battery finally did the same today. Now I have paper weights.

I searched for a drill, since i already have one, i was needed for a cordless one, so i saw this set+ and i though since the prices in my country are expensive for that tools, i should search them in amazon/ebay..so, let's start, i tried it on a ceramic to hang some shelf, and the drill just cut it like a butter, high speed very powerful, same on the driver for the screws.im still surprised about it, i didn't checked this on a massive work cause i just need it for home std use.the only problem was the charger, since at my country we using 220v, i order a separate adapter, but surprise surprise , they put on the package a charger that can work on our electric kind, the charge is very fast 2A battery is strong enough.bottom line very recommended for home use, price is great, instead to waste your money on some known expensive companies, take this set!

I'm excited to have the opportunity to be the first to review a product on Amazon. First off, the drill and the impact work great for their size. My basis for comparison is a 12v Makita set. The Rikon set measures up as follows. The impact is STRONG, stronger than advertised. The drill is also very strong, more so than I would have thought. The handle is a bit longer than it looks, but both drills are compact. These have a 2 year warranty which is really nice, and the company is in America, which is more and more rare these days. The hard plastic case is very sturdy and convenient, and both batteries charge in about 30-40 mins. I will add pictures soon and post a follow up review in a few months.

I won this set on an Amazon Giveaway. I didn't expect much as I was always taught no one gives anything good away for free. However I have put this set through a lot of work around my household and property doing upgrades, decoration and repair and have to say I am impressed. The battery life is longer than my father's Porter Cable set and it does everything I ask of it. If you need a light to moderate duty drill and or impact this might be for you.
