Virtuox VirtuClean Bundle - Virtuox VirtuClean CPAP Mask Cleaner, CPAP Pillow, Tubing, and Cleanser

A little over a year ago, I purchased a different brand of CPAP cleaner. It is a great device. But it is much bigger than this VirtuClean. The other brand is much noisier while it is running. The other brand has to have its filters replaced every so often.This VirtuClean system is battery powered and is very quiet during operation. Because the cleaning operation is a two-step process, there is no automated daily timer. To use it, you disconnect the CPAP hose and mask from the CPAP machine. Then you connect the hose to the VirtuCLEAN and put the connected mask into the provided bag. Press the start button and the cleaning process lasts for about 20 minutes. Once it is done, it beeps 3 or 4 times. Disconnect the mask from the tube. Empty the water chamber in the CPAP machine. Connect the tube back to the CPAP machine and turn it on again. So in another 20 minutes, the whole system is clean.The best part is that this cleaning can be done using the internal battery. It is recharged using a standard USB cable with a USB micro connection. It is great for use in locations where power is not always assuredAs an Army Reserve Soldier, I received orders to deploy to the Middle East and knew that I would not have the room in my duffle bag for that other brand. And I did not want a machine that made loud noises as it could grate on others.So this machine fit the bill. I like the VirtuCLEAN because:1. It is very quiet during operations2. It is battery powered.3. Easy to recharge with a very common USB micro cable.4. No filters and oxygen (ozone) generators to replace.These are the things that could be improved:1. It needs a manual lock-out switch for the power. When I packed it away in the bag, I tried to place it so that the power switch would not be pushed. But it accidentally turned on anyway, draining the battery. So it needed to be recharged before the next use.2. I would like to see an access port available to remove and replace the battery. Lithium Ion batteries can only be recharged so many times and then they need to be replaced.3. I wonder how long the ozone generation capability of this device will last. There is no mention of replacement filters nor is there any mention of how the ozone is generated. If it uses a method that doesn't need any filter to be changed, they should take credit and mention that.4. The provided travel bag could use a little more padding to better protect the cleaner.Even with the shortcomings that I mentioned, the VirtuCLEAN is a great product and I feel very confident with recommending it. However, once I get home, I will still use the other device for the day-to-day, automated cleaning of my CPAP since all of the CPAP is cleaned at once: machine, filters, water chamber, hose and mask. The VirtuCLEAN is a great travel companion or primary cleaning machine if you don't mind the extra steps.

I have a rather bulky CPAP and was tired of cleaning the device with soap and water and vinegar. I was going to get the SoClean, but then I saw this device which does the same thing without the bulk. I am sooo glad I did. The only advantage the SoClean has is that it is a one step operation. Because the VirtuClean is compact it is done in two steps - one 35 min. cycle for the mask and another for the machine. But I can live with that because I can easily travel with the VirtuClean, something I can't do with the SoClean. One thing I would suggest is that if you're considering purchasing this or the SoClean, purchase a container of CPAP mask wipes, because although they disinfect, they don't clean the oily film that accumulates on the mask pillow.

Surprisingly, works well. Compact and easy to work with. Pricey, $300. No bag included to clean mask. For the price it should be. Company wants you to buy it! Charge doesn’t last long. Pay for the bag when you're purchasing a $300 portable item? Almost sent it back for this reason. In reality, I should have. Still may!

This is the BEST CPAP cleaner around. I tried other ones, but they were too big, too bulky and needed to be plugged in. That's a problem, as I didn't have many plugs near my cpap machine. What I love about the VirtuClean is the portability, small size and its CORDLESS! There is a slight ozone smell, but I rather like it since it reminds me of the odor after a spring rain. What I find works best is in the morning I put the device and my hose with my full face mask attached all in the carrying case that came with it. I turn the VirtuCLEAN on, zip everything up, leave it on the bedside table, and walk away. VERY little, if any, ozone smell. I leave the mask in the case until bedtime. This serves a second purpose - keeping dog hair OUT of my mask! I have 3 dogs, so you can imagine the amount of hair that flies around my room. With keeping the mask in the case after cleaning, not only do I ensure a clean mask and hose, I also don't have to deal with an itchy nose from dog fur. I HIGHLY Recommend this CPAP cleaner, plus the extra supplies are a nice bonus. Well worth the price!!

Excellent Product! I use this daily and it is great and easy. There is a smell produced by the machine, but to me it just smells "clean". Highly recommended.

My father says he loves the simplicity and it is effective at cleaning his BiPaP.

It does not clean mask and tank at same time, need "Y" type extension, and, and increase cleaning time if necessary.

I use it every other day on my CPAP hose and so far it does what it supposed to do. Surely beats having to clean by hand! - Great Investment!
