30 years!!

I have used Brillhart and Claude Lakey alto pieces for 30 years or so and play them until I bite right through them. Great high end, altissimo and volume. Yea baby!

This is a great mouthpeice. I got a much more reasonant sound than my previous mouthpeice, but at first I must warn you, the mouthpeice will squeak and also you must have a new reed, because the mouthpeice is shaped differently. Overall, I would reccomend this to someone with experience, but not a novice

I needed an alto mouthpiece that was cheap since I don't play alto very often. I play bari and tenor, but I sometimes like to play alto, so I got this mouthpiece to carry around if I ever needed to play alto. I see now that its about $20 cheaper than when I bought it. So screw that Amazon. That's stupid. But this mouthpiece is fine, I guess. I sound just as good as the rest of the alto players in my school, but the sound is nothing special. The altissimo is really easy to get out with this mp though. So yeah, if you just need a cheapie mouthpiece that's just alright this is fine. But if you're a serious player and looking for a main piece that will last and get you a really awesome and unique sound, I'd try something else. I'm thinking about looking at a Beechler Metal and Jody Jazz for the future if I ever get another Alto piece.
