Massive amount of backup power; solid build quality and design
If you’re used to the small, compact powerbanks that are only able to charge a phone once or twice, the size of this is going to come as a shock. It’s big - really big. The powerbank measures roughly 5 inches wide, 7.25 inches long and is 1.25 inches thick. It is also heavy, weighing in at almost 2 pounds (1 pound 12.5 ounces, to be exact). This is not something you’re going to be able to slip into your pocket! The build quality is excellent. The case is plastic but is well-molded with tight, even seams. The ports are all one end to make them easy to access, and consist of 2 USB outputs, a DC in (for recharging the powerbank) and a DC out (for charging a laptop or other large device). The DC in and DC out ports are slightly different sizes so you can’t make the mistake of trying to plug the charger into the DC out port – it won’t fit. Each port is clearly labeled on the back of the unit in easy-to-read black on white lettering. The status screen is an LED and is clear and bright. The status screen shows the battery power (in the form of a graphical “gas gauge”), output voltage, and ports in use.It also comes in a decent storage box that holds the powerbank in a tray, and has a cubby below to hold all the included parts such as the charger and a range of adapters for use with laptops. While the size and weight make this rather bulky, it provides for some major advantages over its smaller powerbank brothers. This has a 32000mAh capacity. That’s enough to fully recharge a tablet multiple times or to keep a phone recharged for probably a month’s worth of use. While you can use this for general purpose recharging tasks (such as for phones) it is mainly designed to power a laptop. It offers selectable voltage outputs of 9v, 12v, 16v, 19v and 20v. The voltage output is selected by holding down the on button for a few seconds until the “v” icon flashes, then pressing the button to cycle through the choices. Pressing the button once while it is operating will show the voltage selected and the battery charge status.IMPORTANT: It is critical to match the voltage requirement of your laptop when using this. Inputting the wrong voltage can do major damage to your laptop. The voltage requirements are usually printed on the transformer of the laptop. In my case I needed 19v.In a good safety move, the voltage output of the powerbank cannot be changed if you have a cable attached to the DC OUT port. That way you can’t accidentally switch voltage while the powerbank is in use. Very nice design touch.Performance was excellent across the board. I tested this by recharging a phone, recharging a tablet and running a laptop. The phone and tablet recharges proceeded the same as with any powerbank. The laptop was able to run completely off the powerbank (the laptop’s internal battery was totally discharged) for a little over 7 hours with still a little juice left (8%). (The laptop was an Emachine, 16 inch screen running in its “medium” power usage mode.)While this has a good amount of heft to it, and the price is far more than the typical powerbank, it can also do a lot more than the typical powerbank. It’s overkill for simple phone or tablet recharging, but it’s a lifesaver if your laptop runs out of juice and you’re not near an outlet. Highly recommend.[Sample provided for review]

Huge capacity, excellent performance
The media could not be loaded. ♦ size: 4.75" x 7.2" x 1"♦ weight: 28.45 oz♦ number of ports: 2♦ flashlight: no♦ passthrough charging: YES (i.e. the battery can charge while being charged itself)♦ cable: 11" mini USB charging cable. Also included are 10 AC connectors for laptops as well as an AC cable to recharge the battery. For Android devices it matters if a cable used to charge the device is a charging cable or a data cable. In a charging cables the two data connections are shorted together (rendering the cable useless for data transfer), but this fools devices to see the cable as an AC power connection and thus the battery accept a higher current for charging. The DBK 32000mAh external battery charger has two ports. It has an excellent performance for my Android devices on both ports. My current monitor shows that the left USB port is 2A and the right USB port is 1A port. I got excellent performance for my iPad mini on the right port (2A) and below average performance on the left port.To tell how various battery packs perform I measure their performance with a current monitor. The current monitor results are interesting for relative comparison with other external batteries. I test all my external batteries using the same charging cables, running the same apps while charging, and starting all tests at same charge level of the phone to account for non-linear charging. This allows me to compare different external batteries to each other keeping everything else constant.Samsung Nexus phone:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~1A port: 1.02A/5.06V (Excellent!)2A port: 1.02A/5.05V (Excellent!)(for comparison the best charging monitor result for this phone is 1.00A/5V)iPad Mini tablet:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~1A port: 0.94A/5.00V (below optimal)2A port: 1.56A/5.00V (Excellent!)(for comparison the best charging monitor result for this tablet is 1.70A/5V)I like this external battery's performance and its huge capacity. I feel very well prepared for the next power outage. This battery pack is provided by DBK.Ali Julia review
