The ROUE Watch CAL was designed by ROUE and inspired by the 1930s European Racing era. The golden days of Silver Arrows and their streamlined version vehicles. These cars were powered by V16 supercharged engines capable of 550hp but absolutely no active aerodynamic to keep them on the road. Pilots as Bernd Rosemeyer, Tazio Nuvolari and Hans Stuck were seeing as national heroes. Excellent watch! Fantastic look and value!
I think this retro style is amazing and the quality of this time piece is exceptional....especially considering the fairly low price point! Two sets of quick release straps is a bonus as well as sapphire crystal!After a couple of months, the watch keeps excellent time! I could not be happier!

Cool vintage style at an affordable price. The simple dial with the orange second hand is easy to read and has become my favorite watch.

Bad straps, decent watch
The watch is really solid and comfortable. Aesthetic-wise i love it. The bands it comes with are unfortunately no good; they are really short and the rubber one, when wet, gave me a nasty red rash all the way around my wrist. At this price point its tough to say what sets this watch apart from others but if you like the looks of it go for it.

Gorgeous Understatement
No bells, no whistles, nothing you don't need besides beautiful design and peerless function. I recently bought my second Cal, the silver case with antique silver face.A friend examined it and said "that looks REALLY expensive."

How do they do it?
So far, so very good. It’s easy to spend two or three times this much for a watch that ticks all the boxes. Thoughtful, even gorgeous aesthetics, more than decent crystal, comfortable band, and a movement that is quite accurate. Maybe 15 seconds lost in a month and-a-half. The hands hit squarely on the numerals/detentes with each tick. At first, the date arrived within the window, but I once I set it at a different time of day, it was fine. I own some very expensive German and Swiss watches. All of them have one or two faults. I’m having trouble finding any with these/other Roue watches. It’s possible that time will tell, but at under $200, I don’t care. No problems at all, so far. Yes, the bands aren’t top-drawer, but they are super comfortable and can always be replaced. Every Roue comes with two, and what they might lack in overall quality, they more than make up for in style. Plus, they are the kind with pin mechanisms for installation. No more fumbling. I’m not sure how they did it, but these watches are winners, even despite the price point. Tons and tons of compliments. Highly recommended.
