great for art/school pencil box
Purchased these for my granddaughter. She loves to draw and these are good to get into small spots. It is a really convenient easy to carry eraser. I bought myself some because the old school in me still uses pencils. You can add then to any pencil box for school and not worry about your child using their eraser on their pencils too much.

Great pencil, though pay attention to prices
They're very nice. The mechanical eraser pencils have too much surface area and can be a bit too bendy, but these pencils can taper to a point and still remain solid, yet aren't hard enough to tear paper. Great for erasing small details that other erasers can't get to (or make highlights), and I haven't seen any pink residue left behind on the paper. They're a bit addictive, and I can find myself unconsciously beginning to erase broad areas despite not wanting to waste them. After buying a pack from Amazon, I found some at Hobby Lobby for $6.99. So if you have a Hobby Lobby store close by, consider which would cost the least before buying. When I bought these from Amazon, it was $8.64 plus $5.58 shipping and handling. It's less than half that at Hobby Lobby. However, right now Amazon's selling these for $6.79 and free shipping if ordering more than $25 of stuff. So Amazon is a better deal at the moment. The only issue I've had with this pencil is that my little pencil sharpener has trouble sharpening the eraser part, so I may end up with a tall cylinder sticking up from the sharpened wood. I think it's most likely just the blade getting dull, and I can finish sharpening the pencil by rubbing it sideways on a piece of paper (or, if there's a larger area on the page to erase, I could erase that while holding the pencil sideways). But a good sharpener would give the best results.

These eraser-pencils are a necessity for me as an artist who specializes in pencil; worth every cent for the precison they offer
I've used these things for about six years now and I must say, they are one of the three tools for art that I think of as an absolute necessity (the other two items are my sketchbook and a pencil) for me as an artist that works almost exclusively with graphite. They offer a level of precision that I simply have never found in any other erasing tool because it allows my hand to move the eraser as effectively as it does a normal pencil (so the eraser is much more stable) while maintaining a sharp, small point.I like using these for detailing work with highlighting, but I also like using them because they allow me to quickly erase mistakes without running the risk of wrinkling the paper like a large eraser or taking away too much of the drawing. I've also found the eraser itself to be very quality! There isn't a lot of the eraser dust left over and I've never had an issue with the eraser leaving a residue that stains the paper (some erasers have actually turned my paper pink!) so I overall love these things. The only downsides, I suppose, are that you do have to sharpen these like you do a traditional pencil, and after the factory tip is worn away, you can never get a point that's quite so small and perfect, but honestly, compared to the alternative for a small, precise eraser, I don't have a real problem with the way these work at all. I think the concept of the product was genius and definitely tailored with the artist in mind.If you're someone who draws in pencil and has a need for fine detail work or precision with erasing, these things are worth every penny and a set of two can last a very, very long time. I've probably only bought a total of 10 packs in the last six years (so I go through roughly 3 whole pencils a year) and I tend to draw a lot. There are always a couple in my pencil case and a few on hand at my desk at all times.

Its great for detail works when drawing
This product is great! I always had trouble erasing for small details and always had to redraw the chunk I just erased. This eraser pensil lets me erase little line thats sticking out. At first before I got the product, i was actually worried that the eraser part is going to be too soft and tips of the eraser will fall off, but no, it erases very well and i did not have any problems with using them! Erases well, very practical!

Excellent Overall!
I consider these to be an economic alternative to the mono Tombow erasers (which I consider the gold standard for micro erasures). They work great in small spaces and can be sharpened (no messing with refills or easy break-offs of the eraser tip). I consider these erasers an essential part of my drawing tool kit. I have never had the "pink" in the eraser material ever come off in a drawing project, and when I use them, I can be quite aggressive (especially when lightening up or adding highlights to dark black graphite). I highly recommend them!
