Batteries drain even when they aren't on
When we got these about a month and a half ago, we found a bunch of them came with dead batteries. We replaced those batteries, then installed these in our hanging candles. We tested them out again in the fixtures to make sure the remote would work. Over the next few days, we tried them a few more times to show family and friends, leaving them on for a total of about 10 minutes. Then we didn't turn them on again for about 2 weeks, until we had friends over this last weekend. When we tried to turn them on, none of them would turn on. In other words, they had drained the batteries even though they were not on. We bought 2 different brands, and the same thing happened with both. My guess is that the receiver for the remote takes power constantly, draining the batteries. So, unless you need the remote function, skip it.

Cool idea, but batteries died after less than 3 hours of use...
I was looking for remote controlled candles for a wall decoration and a fireplace insert and these seemed great. They are definitely an orange-yellow light, not white, though the plastic housing is bright white. I received these on 10/8 and used them for less than 20 minutes per day... today is 10/15 and the candles are basically dead. Very faint or won't turn on at all. The remote is easy to use, but the battery life is terrible. It's not worth paying for batteries that need to be changed once a week.

Batteries die quickly
It was nice that these came with an extra set of batteries. However I bought ones with a a remote since I was placing them on a high shelf that is not easy to access. Because the toggle switch has to remain "on" for the remote to work, even though the candles are off, the batteries are drained. I only got two evenings worth of them being on before they died. Therefore, it defeats the purpose of having a remote set if you have to change the batteries so often and is not cost effective

Not Worth It
These tea lights are much more expensive than non-remote-controlled lights, which would be fine if the remote control actually worked consistently and reliably. It does not always turn on/off all your candles at once. I was so excited about this product, but it was really disappointing. Save your money and just buy tea lights without a remote.

Batteries don’t last, so much for remote control use.
The instructions say to leave the switch ON and use the remote for OFF and ON. Worked great the first time, one week later the batteries were all dead. Replaced all the batteries, tested them, all worked great. One week later, went to place them in holders, all dead again. Now I’m past my return date so stuck with a bunch of dead tea lights.

dead
I ordered these lights for a parry. They were cute and lit up nicely when I got them. I put them where I wanted them and never turned them on again. It seems as if the batteries drain even if the lights aren't turned on. Two entire sets drained their batteries even though I never got a chance to use them!

Would not buy again or recommend.
Remote on /off does not turn off battery drain like larger remote candles. They will drain the battery unless you turn them off manually, which of course, defeats the entire purpose of a remote switch. After replacing the entire set of batteries (24x) we realized the remotes are worthless. W

I can’t wait to use them in my Harry Potter Halloween decorations! I posted them on Facebook and now all my friends want them!
