I have purchased 3 of these blankets and have never notice a smell to them, did not read any reviews about a smell before I purchased. They are so wonderful soft, I love to just snuggle with one and take a nap. They are just beautiful to drape an across a bed. I have the gray and the brown ones, the colors of each amazing. I will purchase again.

I ordered this by recommendation and it had 4 1/2 stars so I didn't bother reading the reviews. I can tell you I'm very pleased, it is absolutely beautiful. So, so soft and so plush.I'll have to see how it launders (I don't like to use anything before washing it first) but I'm more than satisfied from the look and feel and can't wait to cozy up with it.The day before delivery I read the 1 and 2 star reviews and all complained of the horrible smell and I panicked. When the package arrived I sat it aside at first in fear of opening it. When I finally opened the box I stuck my nose in to smell because apparently the others were so pungent they permeated the packaging. I still didn't smell anything so I unwrapped it and put the blanket near my nose and breathed a sigh of relief. I'm happy and relieved to say the odor was not my experience. 🤗If you're considering purchasing this I highly recommend it!

As soon as I opened the box from the packing bag I could smell something gross. Once I unrolled the blanket, the odor took over my bedroom. The smell is like embalming fluid and iron, almost like rotten meat. I have washed this blanket FOUR times and the smell is just as present. The first wash I made the mistake of throwing other clothes in the load, and now all of them stink too. I asked for my money back because I couldn't return the blanket due to washing, but I will have to throw the item away as its unusable. Frustrating because other than the horrendous smell its a pretty and soft blanket I've wanted for a long time.

I absolutely love this blanket, BUT it did smell like it had been soaked in 80’s perm solution, lol. I was however expecting it after reading all the reviews.I immediately took it out of the packaging & washed it with laundry detergent, sent beads & 1/2 a cup of vinegar. I air dried it & no more stink & still looks brand new!!!This blanket is so soft on both sides & is so warm.Even with its first initial bad smell I would purchase again, but not as a gift. If I did think of gifting this I would most definitely wash it myself first than gift it.My new favorite blanket!!!

Throw is pretty and soft but had a chemical odor. Had to wash twice to get rid of the smell. Would buy for personal use but would be careful giving as a gift due to the odor.

J'ai acheté deux jetés pour ma fille et le deuxième n'est pas doux après le lavage, malgré plusieurs essaies avec assouplisseur sans succès. Le premier n'a pas eu ce problème. Avez- vous une suggestion? Es-il trop tard pour échange ou remboursement malgré la date expiration du 1 mars 2024?

This throw feels so luxurious, but unfortunately it’s a bit heavy for its size. It doesn’t stay on you for that reason and worst of all, even after multiple washings it stinks to high heaven! I can’t even describe the odour, and honestly it didn’t smell unusual when I first opened the packaging, but still I felt it necessary to wash it on a gentle setting and dry on low heat. It was fully dry, but it smelled awful even after multiple washes!

I’ve washed it 4 times and can’t get the smell out. Otherwise good quality but can’t use it because ofThe smell.
