Great book, you don't have to reinvent the wheel
I was trying to find 1 to 2 day bike rides with little luck so, I decided to create my own routes. I happen to come upon this book, it is the answer to my dreams. Georgia is such a diverse state and the book routes reflects it, with rides over the entire state. My only wish is that the gpx (Garmn or Wahoo) files with cue sheets were included or posted on a web site. I would definitely buy a seconded edition if that information was included. Excellent work Mr. Trussell.David C. Johnson

why not include elevation profiles?
I had borrowed "Road Bike North Georgia" (Jim Parham) from the library and greatly appreciated the elevation profiles in that guide. Road Biking Georgia lacks elevation profiles. In fact, elevation-change info is quite limited in this book. Aside from directions, elevation is a big consideration for me.Otherwise, RBG is well written.

I was Expecting More...
This book does a great job of covering much of Georgia, and the historical & cultural perspective pertaining to each ride is interesting and informative. However, it would be nice to have a clearer idea regarding elevation change/climbing, maybe pictograms showing where and how long/steep. There are a few choices within most rides as to length, but I feel that this could have been expanded, as I find myself painstakingly mapping alternate routes in some of the more beautiful/challenging areas where only mega-rides are mapped in the book. For me this book is an indispensable companion to the web, where I can take the author's context and rides and then tailor them to suit our riding needs. I think the next edition can include many more alternate length/difficulty rides to make this a truly super guidebook. Otherwise, the book is entertaining and inspires me to want to go hit the tarmac.

great easy to understand book!!!
This is an awesome book! not only does the book have very understandable bike maps but also information about the town you are biking in. This is helpful because it lets you know about the town you want to bike at. The trails look great and I am excited about trying out new bike trails once the weather warms up!

Road Biking Georgia
Thorough, comprehensive, and very well written. Good photos, readable (and easy-to-follow) maps, and detailed directions make this a most useful book. John Trussell and Falcon have produced a guide that provides road cyclists with numerous opportunities to explore Georgia's varied, interesting, and beautiful panorama. Whether one rides in the cities, the picturesque hamlets, or across the rural and historic countryside, this is an important reference volume. It is equally "gear-good" for riders who live in the state and those who venture in from other locales. A good guide to have on hand. Bob Kornegay, May 27, 2008

Great All-Around Guide
This book is a great resource for cyclists looking to explore Georgia on their bicycles. The guide includes everything from short, family-oriented rides to take with the kids to longer, treck-oriented rides for those who want them. The directions are clear and easy-to-follow and there are plenty of pictures to show what riders might see along the way. It's an all around good book for cycling enthusiasts.
