Durable
This is a must have (yet rarely used, like an air chisel) tool. So far, I easily removed about two dozen spot welds from my 1954 3100. No dulling or nicks yet. Just be careful and watch what the spot weld is doing to your metal after every strike. After 1-2 strikes, reposition around the weld. This approach yielded no sheet metal tears. For stubborn spot welds, slide the seam buster in a seam a little bit., apply light pressure and drill a 1/4” hole. As soon as the weld “pops”, stop drilling to prevent drilling into the second body panel.

The heat treatment of the tool steel in this keeps the tool sharp
I'm new to cutting spotwelds. I have a 1957 Chevy truck, with very thick steel. After drilling out the spot welds, this tool did a fantastic job of cutting them free from any metal still welded together.I was expecting hitting the tool to cause much peening over, as well the sharp cutting edge to dull quickly. I believer you would have to abuse the tool to damage it. I purchase both this, and the straight version.

Not Made in the USA
I haven’t used this yet however the advertising makes it look like it was made in the USA yet it’s made in Taiwan. If Lisle can make their products here so can Steck. It’s far beyond time for them to act like Americans and support the country that supported their company. I’ll buy Lisle until they do.

Tough Little Guy
Bought to remove a rocker and took a solid beating. Nice compact size gets into tight spaces.

Awesome
Have not had a chance to put it to work yet, but I did take it out of the package and it seems extremely sturdy and considerably sharp, I look forward to years of use out of it.
