Q: I see a lot of customer issues with the mini and loss of connectivity. Does the cam ranger 2 solve this issue? Also is ther a better product ?

The CamRanger 2 has dual band WiFi and external antennas, so yes the WiFi connection is stronger. As the CamRanger 2 is more expensive it is generally considered "better".
