EyeSoothe Blepharitis Heat Eye Mask

I needed an eye mask that could be heated without a microwave and this one is just what I was looking for. The mask itself seems well made, it opens at the top with velcro, and the fabric is smooth on the side that touches your skin. The fabric pouch has foil lining to keep it warm and the elastic strap is adjustable. One word of caution: It is possible to make it too hot! When soaking the gel pack in boiling water, experiment with less than 5 minutes in the boiling hot water to avoid burning the delicate skin on your eyelids! And always test on your wrist before placing mask over your eyes. The only thing that I was not impressed with is the plastic cup hook that is supposed to help you fish the pack out of the hot water. The hole in the gel pack is not big enough for the hook to poke through and I was afraid it might damage the pack, so I am not bothering with using it. Just use a silicone spatula to scoop the pack out of the hot water, lay pack on a towel to dry, then place pack inside of mask. As for whether or not this product will help with MGD, it's too soon to tell.

In principle a very good product. It does retain a nice temperature for about 8 minutes and has been beneficial to me. However the lid side of the holder is very flimsy and shreds easily. Also overpriced for what you get.

I ordered this by mistake. I need one that plugs in, this looks great for someone to use.

At first I liked this mask, but after a few uses I'm being put off by the increasingly strong odor of the plastic mask, which seems to get worse each time I heat it. Today I stopped using it altogether, and it's too late to get a refund. I'm concerned that the odor is being caused by toxic chemicals in the plastic that are out-gasing and made worse by the heating process. I think it's detrtimental to good health, since we're inhaling all those fumes and chemicals from the mask that's placed right above the nose. I tried wrapping it in a washcloth, but that didn't stop the odors.

I was disappointed in this product. It is very inconvenient to have to heat water and the put the gel pack in the water to heat up. The description of use should be more detail so you know before buying. I would not have bought this product.

I love this mask. It is very relaxing ;) . Also, even though the gel mask started to leak from one corner , I contacted the seller and they sent me two gel masks. That's what I call taking care of their customers. If you suffer from Blepharitis, you have to give this mask a try!

Bravo on the product. I'm very pleased with that.But the pouch stinks of chemicals and had to be discarded immediately.I'm also disappointed to learn I'll need to do some fabric replacement in the future.Finally, I could do without all the stress on "cross contamination". There is no way -- and I think no need -- to keep everything near-sterile

I am very pleased with this product. Soothing after a long day's work in front of a computer and it also relaxes me. I also received it in a timely manner.
