I love that it identifies the bird sounds
The bird sounds are great. I love how it tells you what bird it is. I have a bird whose mate unfortunately died a few months ago. I seen this CD and thought, why not? I will play this for a couple hours while Iβm working in the other room.

Great Resource, Names Spoken Before Call
This has been a great resource for me to learn about bird calls. The narrator speaks the name of the bird before the call is played so it's easy to listen while driving or working. The birds are well organized similar to how they're organized in field guides.

Very nice product
I will find this cd to be very useful and enjoyable. My only problem with it is that there are no "chapters" so that I can Index to the bird type that I wish to listen to.

My career relied on this!
I have been listening to this cd and using it as a reference for over a decade. I learned a great many bird calls from this disc and I now have a wildlife career with the help from this CD! My only complaint: The calls are separated into birds groups so if you want to hear one particular call over and over, you have to listen to the entire group over and over. You can't listen to just than one call. With that said, this the best quality bird call cd in the US!

Wonderfully enjoyable & educational bird song CD.
A wonderful CD to accompany the Field Guide or just to enjoy the bird songs. It is a great gift that I received over ten years ago and I have used the Bird Songs CD many, many times with the Field Guide and binoculars to identify the birds in my yard and neighborhood. I recently bought this CD as a gift to my sister in PA. She, too, loves it. The narrator clearly announces each bird's name before the bird song is heard. The audio is excellent and more than one bird song/call is presented if the bird has multiple calls. Educational and enjoyable!

Bird songs OK
The bird songs are easy to find on the CD, and if you have the Field Guide the CD ALMOST follows the order of birds the field guide. Some less common birds are not covered, so if you THINK you've got an ivory billed woodpecker, better take a picture of it for proof. The song ain't there. This CD is much easier to use and follow than another bird song CD I have. I loaded the songs onto my IPod so I can compare them to birds I hear in the woods.

Get to know the birds !
I found the disc with the bird songs on it very good and helpful - I was disapointed that there was no acompanying "field guide" with pictures of the birds.

Slow learner
I'm enjoying this cd in the car and I feel like I may learn from it. At this point I still think about 75% of birds sound the same in the field. I can't wait for the day I start figuring these out

Great learning tool
I added the song files to my general playlist of music to learn songs and their species by repetition. This works, but it would work even better if every species was a single sound file and not grouped with other related species.

Well, I like birds
Well organized and named bird songs and sounds. I wish they could spare more time to each bird sound than including as many bird species' sounds as possible.

A great resource!
This is a very user friendly CD and if you have the Peterson Field Guide the page references are helpful. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to be able to identify backyard birds by their calls.
