While I was motivated to try this prebiotic based on its potential to improve my gut microflora (GI health) and immune system in general, I discovered within a week that it also eliminated acid reflux, allowing me to sleep through the night without taking proton pump inhibitors. In the past 15 years I have tried many probiotic capsules, dietary changes, psyllium and other fiber supplements, H2 blockers, antacids, etc. to eliminate GI inflammation and frequent stomach and intestinal discomfort, but none had as many positive GI effects as this oligosaccharide prebiotic.
