Intriguing Menzoberranzan
This book is a worthy supplement for those who have chosen the feared Drow as their life in role playing. In a city at the apex of depravity ever seen live the Drow who etch out a life through selfishness, vice, and debauchery and yet have a rice history. As you study this book you will find many things about the fabled Underdark city and the Drow themselves. Rich in history, a way of life, the city itself, and the true meaning of being a Drow awaits the reader. You will find a complete guide, plus an accompanied map to Menzoberranzan from deep in the bowels of the earth where life is short if you are weak and a goody two-shoes. No matter if you are a nobel, slave, scion or commoner you will need eyes in the back of your head if you are to survive . Life is a gamble so you need to capture the Drow persona and this book is an excellent source for that. This book will introduce you to: The Way of Lolth, Drow Fractions, City of Spiders, The Northdark, and Be a Drow. The last chapter should be read first as without the basic understanding of a Drow, there can be no Menzoberranzan, as you would never last long enough to become a Drow. Immerse yourself in this book and hopefully you will survive your time in a city full of the evilist and most feared race ever lived. I recommend this book and give it full marks for the information, rich graphics, and well put together book. The only fault I thought was about the last chapter (see my comment above), but don't forget this book is about all the aspects of - Menzoberranzan-City of Intrigue.

Brilliant D&D setting book for ANY D&D edition
Brilliant supplement for any edition of D&D. This book is what I hope future books of D&D will be, fluff that provides in-depth setting and NPC info and that is not rules specific. Menzoberranzan features one of the most iconic Underdark Drow cities in all of fantasy; made famous by fantasy novelist R.A. Salvatore and his Drizz't novels. If you want to use this as a city for adventurers to travel to then lots of info is provided. If, however, you are like me, and you desire to have a group of Drow player characters, then this book offers *everything* a DM needs to run an exclusively drow PC campaign. This book is diveded into chapters covering history, society of the row, and factions, all suitable for player use. Best of all, with D&D 5e now out, this book is usable and does not require any effort to adapt, as stats are up to the DM. I hope to see more books like this covering Waterdeep, Baldur's Gate and other iconic Realms locations.

Menzoberranzan review
This is a great update of the box set. The box set had loose components which could get lost, so it was good to have everything in one place. I also liked that the novels were integrated into the book.

Interesting perspective on the drow world
I'm a great fan of Drizzt Do'Urden and the drow world in general, I've read most of R. A. Salvatore's Books and other Forgotten Realms novels. When I first heard about this book I was a bit skeptical, but curious, so I pre-ordered it anyway. What I found was a very interesting source of information about the dark elves I could actually use on a campaign heavily based on the conflict between drow and surface dwellers. Also there's plenty of information and ideas on running a campaign entirely based on drow player characters, which is, by the way, the book's main purpose. It seems they put everything there, most of the important drow houses are present, with details on their military, religious and monetary power. There are descriptions of several important locations in the city, such as the Tier Branche academy, the Bazar and many other remarkable places. There's an entire chapter about how to roleplay a drow character. I found it very useful for DM's and players alike. It was a surprise to me that the book isn't really attached to the Forth Edition of D&D, so you can actually use this book with any edition of Dungeons & Dragons (and potentially other systems). This is probably what I liked most about the book, because I'm getting a little tired of the 4e, and very eager to see the next iteration of D&D released. What I didn't like about the book was the page count of 128. I think they could have put a little more effort on filling the book with even more information. It would be nice if they added more detailed descriptions of the most prominent characters, perhaps with maps of the drow houses, more historical details, you get the idea.Overall it's a great book, even if you don't like D&D 4e. It has nice illustrations, lots of useful information... could have more pages, but definitively recommended to all RPG players interested in a rich experience playing a campaign based on drow elves. This was my first review ever, and I hope I helped you make your decision about the product.

Always Amazing
Menzoberranzan: City of Intrigue is another supplement in the line of the Dungeons and Dragons books that have all been crazy awesome! The art and additional options provided by it, help to make any game more fun.

Menzoberanzan!
Great book! Worth of every penny spent! You. Must . Buy. I would speak about the great level of detail that this suplement have to mesmerize DMs and players alike. But for drow fans like myself, that is irrelevant.

YMMV
I can see how people can give this a 1 or a 5 star. It basically is this: You'll love it if you like the drow, Menzoberranzan, and the underdark and don't care about edition because there are no stats or really anything to link it to 4ed. If you loved 4ed, were sorry to see it go away so soon and want to squeeze every last 4ed book for info, you'll be disappointed. I would not be surprised to learn that any crunch that was supposed to be here was ripped out and put into "Into the Unknown, dungeon survival handbook" Because that book seems to be a mismatch of crunch from generic dungeons that goes into underdark campaigns and mixes around GM and Player info.

Fun Guide
I don't play Dungeons and Dragons or any Tabletop RPG, but being a fan of the Drizzt Do'urden novels, I decide to give this a read. This book gives a lot of information about the the city of Menzoberranzan and Drow culture, so this recommended to anyone a fan of the Drizzt Do'urden novels.Note:Its does have some spoilers about the novels.

Drow-themed Adventure
Although the book is well laid out and has nice art it is a book filled with fluff and no crunch. Described for use with ALL D&D Editions, and tied to the Forgotten Realms the book is ok but if I had to place it on a top ten wish list it would fall at #10. I bought it to complete my collection of 4th Ed. D&D but it contains no adventure, no NPC stats, no new monsters, just fluff, fluff and more fluff. If you are planning on running a adventure in the Underdark, centered around Menzoberranzan then buy the Underdark supplement AND the Dungeon-Survival Handbook to complement it. There are references to the FR campaign and to Neverwinter so having those books can come in handy. Although they say Menzoberranzan is for all of the D&D editions, they suggest you own the Core PHB, DM Guide and the Monster Manual AND the ESSENTIALS line of products.
