This simple technique will cure your anxiety - and other psychological issues as well.
I really like this book. It teaches you the method the author used to overcome his anxiety.I used a similar technique a few years ago, and I can tell you from experience... techniques like this one work!I suffered for years until I used a very similar method to get rid of my social anxiety. It also cured my depression and anger issues. But I like the author's method better than the one I used - it's much, much simpler. The Good:- His technique really works... and it works quickly!- The method is simple. You don't need to know anything at all about psychology.- You can avoid years of therapy. You don't need to know the cause of your issues to get rid of them.- The book is short. You won't have to wade through hundreds of pages of filler to get to the good stuff.- The technique works on any negative emotion. You can use the technique on your anger... your deep-seated rage... or to get rid of your depression. The Bad:Nothing's truly bad about the book. However, there are a few things you may want to know:- You might find the technique a little hard to do (at first, anyway). This method makes you dive headfirst into your anxious feelings. You won't regret trying it. The results make it well worth the effort.- His theory about why this method works sounds a little iffy to me. But you won't find the theory super-unreasonable - and he freely admits he's guessing. The Final Verdict:Highly Recommended! This short book will help you cure your anxiety. You can also use the technique to help you overcome your other emotional issues.P.S. -Other books I recommend for emotional issues include... - Confrontation Therapy by Richard Silvestri.Works great but I disagree with his theory (somewhat). Out of print but easy to find and cheap.- Here Be Dragons by Manuel Smith. The method Smith teaches works especially well if you have a harsh inner critic. Out of print but easy to find.- Brief Therapy for PTSD by Stephen and Lori Beth BisbeyNot just for PTSD. Great for other issues.- The Thought Exchange by David FreedmanThe New Age theory gets a little annoying in this book. Ignore it. The central idea is a good one.and- Anything by Jerry Duvinsky. These books all take a similar approach to the author's - but they get a little more complicated. I listed them here because I want other people to feel better like I do. Emotional problems suck! You'll probably find this book is all you need - but you should certainly check out these other books as well. You might find one variation of the technique clicks with you more than the others.

A quick helpful read.
A new and inspiring perspective on alleviating avoidant personality disorder. A technique that I am sure to use on my journey to a better me.

Typical Self-Help Woo BS
I strongly suspect that the author never had the condition he claims to have had. It's obvious that he's done what so many other greedy b******s have done—that is to say, gone through some number of self-help and new age books, taking various bits and mixing them together to form a slightly different set of BS to sell as an "amazing cure". I might have done the same, if I didn't have a conscience.Early on, he says, "Who am I to tell you about your mental disorder, and how to cure it?" Which is a very good question, actually. He freely admits that he's entirely unqualified to understand or treat the mental illnesses (and demonstrates this repeatedly through the entire book) he professes to cure—which is a medical claim, and one that with any luck, will get him into deep trouble. As is absolutely typical of these sorts of books, he claims to have cured himself (I seriously doubt he's ever had the conditions he claims to have had) easily, essentially by telling his condition to go away. When this doesn't work for you, "The real impediment that most readers will have is that they are unwilling to actually do it, and keep doing it...", which is also very typical of most of these books. In other words, it only works if you're a true believer."A strange realization is that secretly many people actually enjoy being the victim of their own suffering in life, and are unwilling to give it up if offered the chance." I find this one to be pretty funny, considering he's already told us that he knows nothing about the subject. So, how can he possibly know this? Is he psychic? Has he lied to us about being unqualified? It's obvious that he didn't bother to find someone to help him edit the book before self-publishing it...and the simple fact that he self-published his book raises red flags. I've found that, when I run across trash like this—fiction and nonfiction alike—it always turns out to be self-published. Amazon doesn't care whether the eBooks they sell are trash or not, not to mention the other primary channels through which these self-publishing critters use. It's doubtful that my review will sway anyone, since sensible people will avoid this book, anyway. At least I try.

Anxiety
Another step on my journey to cure my Avoidant Personality Disorder. Very practical, understanding the importance that a fear filled subconscious affects our conscious mind. Instead we need to replace it with love. Great book, definitely worth the read!

For me it worked
At first, I thought that the method described here wasn't going to work but I still decided to try it a few days ago and now that I tried it I feel really happy because I managed to spend my day pretty much anxiety-free and of course I still have a long way to go in order to cure my Avpd but this book was really helpful to me.

The method worked!
I have many emotional and physical problems as well. I found that in the first session of filling those holes with love and removing the boxes of fear, I feel much more positive about doing some what I would call scary phone calls. I intend to continue this practice until all of my fear is released. Thank you.
