Yarn Place Hand Made Rose Wood Drop Spindle w/ 2 Oz Fine Merino Wool Spinning Fiber Kit

Very pretty spindle, but this is only for very fine spinning. Not much weight in the wood for anything chunkier. The wool that comes with it is easy to spin but the colors are crazy. Wish they would add solid white wool so you can dye it the color you choose.

Item came quickly, was exactly as described. It was packed in a tyvek type envelope. Fortunately, all the fluffy roving provided cushioning, and nothing broke. Had it been just the spindle, it might have been more precarious. If you need to learn how to spin, you'll need to check out YouTube, etc. No instructions come with it (I wasn't expecting any, so was perfectly satisfied, but wanted to give extra warning to those expecting them).

Good quality wool, and I had my spinning teacher check the spindle's balance. She was quite surprised that I was able to get an even balanced beginner's spindle for a good price off Amazon. Very happy with this product.

The spindle is great. I've been using it a lot since I got it. But I particularly want to comment about the wool that comes with it. It is beautifully soft and fine. It spins up really nicely. I Kool-Aid dyed some of it, which was really fun. Every time I touch it I'm impressed with it. And now I'm addicted.

I did not care for the Fiber it was had to spin. But I love the Drop Spindle

Have been playing around with this and really like it. Also like that plenty of spinning material was included. YouTube videos are really helpful in learning how to use it.

I ordered this as a treat for myself . I'd never tried a drop spindle before . It was challenging to figure out at first but after a while I really got the hang of it .
