Thai Siam Queen leaves are very fragrant and have a stronger spicy clove flavor than Genovese. It has glossy dark green leaves and deep purple flowers. When the summer nights stay above 60° F and days are above 80° Basil will undergo explosive growth. To take advantage of this, make sure you have paid attention to pruning. Grows to 12" - 18" Space Plants 12” to 18” apart. Basil needs good circulation around the plants to help minimize fungus When harvesting basil, make sure you leave 6 inches or more of the plant above ground. This will help the plant to regenerate for a second harvest if the growing season is long enough. Store harvested basil above 41°F or leaves will wilt and turn black.
