Great light for getting plants going inside
Very easy to set up and adjust arms over plants. The 3 adjustable arms are strong yet flexible enough to put into just about any position you want. Clip also seems to be very sturdy and strong - I was a little concerned it would be the weak link if the entire product but so far it’s great!UPDATE:Now that I've had the light for a couple of days, I have more to add. One thing that I wish was different is either the timer function to include an 18 hr "on" choice, or for the light to retain the same light setting if/when powering back on after being unplugged or power being cut through use of a garden timer plug.I'm no expert, but have grown a good number of strong and healthy plants with other LED grow lights using an 18/6 schedule for the veg stage of plant growth. Anything less than that, for instance the 12/12 schedule which is the longest uninterrupted timer schedule available to choose for this product, will most likely induce flowering at an earlier stage than you may want if you're trying to get your plants to grow sturdy, big, and strong for a few weeks before you begin flowering them for fruit, etc.So to get the 18/6 schedule I've had success with, I plugged this light into a smart plug which has it's own timer/schedule function and set it to turn on/off automatically on an 18 hrs on/6 hrs off schedule. Well, when the plug turned back on at the scheduled time, the light did NOT turn back on automatically. Apparently this light must be physically switched back on if you use a smart plug that shuts off power at any time.Unfortunately that makes this light more work for me to get the use I want out of it - instead of relying on an automatic schedule function, I now must manually turn the light back on at the appropriate time. Doesn't make it completely useless to me, but much more inefficient especially for times when I may be traveling and unable to manually turn the light back on. So for me, that is a design flaw. The product should simply be able to turn back on in the exact state - dimming wise and R/B/Full spectrum wise - when power is re-enabled rather than reverting to a completely off and original factory setting (which is what I assume it's set to do now). Simple circuitry and computer programming for the internal board. Would not be hard to make this change. Or just simply add an 18 hour choice to the existing timer function. Now all that said, of course you could adjust to use the 6 hrs on, 6 hrs off timer for a veg state and likely still have decent results without inducing flowering since it's the constant 12 hours off that truly switches plants into the flower stage. However, I know no reputable indoor grower that uses this type of schedule for their plants - regardless of what they kind of herbs, fruits, etc. they may be growing. You will not find a recommendation for short spurts of 3 hrs or 6 hrs in any gardening book as a "recommended light schedule" so I don't understand why that is even an option for this grow light. I could be wrong and I'm welcome for someone to point me to some research that would counter my statement.

Excellent grow light!
Excellent little grow light. Three little gooseneck lights, that are easy to position just as you want. This is not a large light bank, so you need to know that going in... but for little house plants, it’s perfect! I had bought one several months ago, just to see how it worked, and now as we’re heading into the dark months of autumn and winter, I bought another, which I hope you understand, is a mark of approval for the lights (else I would have bought a different style/brand). I have several potted plants, and have these lights spread out, giving light to all the little areas that a larger light would miss. The timer function is great- you set it for 3,6, or 12 hours, and every day it will turn on at the (approximately) same time, for the duration you set. Yes, you can adjust both the spectrum (blue/red/both) as well as the intensity (several levels, from pretty dim, to fairly bright). But honestly, I have them set for “both” and “bright” for the full 12-hour timer. As LED lights, they are very energy efficient, so I have no issues with leaving them on. There are no heating issues. If I were to have any complaint, it would be the USB plug. Why not just use a regular plug? I understand the flexibility of the usb, but it’s a weak spot in the system. My original unit started to unexpectedly turn off, and not get full intensity, I noticed that the wall plug wasn’t working well, and replaced it with another usb plug I had lying around, and now the light is working as well as it ever did. So my advice to the company, is to dump the usb, and just use a regular plug.

New growth in just over a week
I purchased this plant light after receiving a potted lavender plant for Mother’s Day (pic 1). I don’t have South facing windows to provide my plant baby with the full sunlight it requires and I was constantly moving it from window to window trying to let it soak up as much sun as possible. I wasn’t sure if the grow light would work, but I was willing to give it a try. It’s been a week and a half and I’m already seeing new vibrant plant growth (pic 4). Today I pruned the old leaves and I could even smell the lavender fragrance for the first time. The old leaves are curling and the new growth is bright green and perky. I’m looking forward to seeing the first signs of blooms. The flexible grow light allows me to use it with more than one plant. I also use it with my aloe plant that is recovering from root rot due to overwatering and a lack of sun. I’m hoping the grow light will help it to produce strong new roots. I’m truly impressed by the strength of the clip. I haven’t decided exactly where to set up my plants and grow light. I’ve tried it in different places around my house (pics 2-3) and the clip attaches well to anything it can fit. The light is really bright at the brightest setting and can be dimmed if desired. I also like that it has a timer so that my plants can consistently receive proper light and dark time to rest. The light stays cool to the touch and is simply beautiful to see.
