DELICIOUS! Started with a 16 OZ jar of the Kimchi and re-ordered the 32 OZ. It is so good for you too. Loaded with good flora and enzymes. I have tried a couple of brands but never liked them because of the heavy, fishy odor. THEN, I found GOLD MINE ORGANIC! The smell is fresh and the vegetables are crisp. The Sauerkraut is equally as good and I also reordered the 32 OZ jar. Can't live without. Gold Mine ships quickly and packs the jars beautifully.and should there be an issue, they WILL resolve it; however, we have been eating this for the last 6 months and literally scraped the jar so as not to miss one delicious morsel.

Having been stationed in South Korea with the U.S.Air Force several times and experienced their food I can unequivocally state that THIS IS NOT SOMETHING ANYONE SHOULD CALL KIMCHI!. It has too much vinegar. very little flavor and a total absence of spices. Real Kimchi should not taste like this! It dishonors the name and is a affront to all real Kimchi lovers. Please call it something else, Maybe vinegar in a jar?

I LOVE kimchi but I hadnt had it in a long time.. years actually. So the bug hit me hard and I ordered this brand. However, before it came, I discovered and drove to an Asian supermarket and purchased a different brand, which was ok. When the Gold Mine KimChi arrived, by coincidence, it was right at dinner time so I opened it up and dug in right then and there!My first impression was this jar is PACKED!! There was kimchi stuffed all the way to top of the jar! No waste and all product! The taste is what I remember from all of the Korean, Filipino, Japanese and a dozen other Asian themed restaurants on Guam that I frequented two or more times a week. Kimchi, in its many forms from many countries, is staple of many Asian dishes and had to be included in my quest for a healthier diet.It has a sauerkraut like initial taste from the vinegar (its pickled after all), which wakes the taste buds up and then the flavors kick in. This stuff is really good, crunchy and tangy and a tad bit spicy. For comparison, I don't care for hot food.. I'm a one or two jalapeno pepper with no seeds on my nachos kinda guy. I'm very conservative with the heat. So to me, this is just about as spicy or hot as I like to go. It's not too hot to make you regret it, but enough to give it a nice little kick and it had me coming back for more! On day one, my family went through about a 3rd of the jar! I think it's good with any dish that you want veggies on the side, but especially with rice and any kind of meat. This stuff rocks and it's VERY good for your body to replenish the good bacteria after a cleanse or certain medical procedures. And its delicious!

So authentic Korean kimchi has a mild fermented bite but mostly rich pepper, ginger, garlic flavor. This is strongly fermented, so it has more tartness. It is not to the point of sauerkraut tartness, but more tart than traditional kimchi. It is an enjoyable different interpretation of kimchi. I ate the whole jar and ordering more! Nice alternating this with traditional kimchi since I eat kimch I often.

I am new to eating Kimichi but I like it. I can not say how it would compare to others since I have only had 2 jars so far. Makes for a good snack in the evenings as I am trying to be more active and eat better. I am sure it is not meant to be eaten the way I do it. I place some between to slices of bread but I like it. I have ordered 2 jars so far and have been happy both times. Given Ia m new to eating kimchi that is why I did not give 5 stars I am happy with it but do not know how it would compare to others. I will need to eat more over time I think to be a better judge.

I didn't know what to expect b/c altho i LOVE kimchi, the vinegar in most of them hurts my stomach. This one has no vinegar so I gave it a try. It tastes fresh, crunchy, delicous! To my surprise, it's not overwhelmingly hot or spicy and kind of mild yet has a serious zing and zest that's addictive. We love it!

I've tried numerous Kimchi by other vendors and I can't say I'm a Kimchi lover. However, I can say that this company found the right receipe for Kimchi and I've been eating more and more. They've got the right idea about Kimchi as the taste is such you can have with other foods. I tend to eat it similar to the way other people eat cole slaw. Provides great intestinal flora too and I don't need to take probiotics now like I used to due to this product's good bacteria activity.

Tastes good and also good to know i am eating something healthy. This is also a good alternative for people who don't like their kimchi because they are too spicy.
