The Last Cop Out Kindle Edition

Not really that much to say, I read all Spillane's books as a school kid and now they have been released for Kindle am enjoying them all over again 40 years on.This is classic Spillane, tough hero, tight writing , beautiful broads and loads of action. I'm not sure how the style of writing would go down were the books released for the first time today, but back in the day Chandler, Hammett, McDonald, Spillane and others, defined the mystery genre with tales that were very hard to put down.Spillane May not be PC enough for the modern age, but I read all his books many times and enjoyed all of then just like I do Lee Child's Jack Reacher of today. Highly recommended if you like your hero tough and your women beautiful!

One of the greatest storytellers of all time. R.I.P. Spillanes stories are timeless. 25 years ago I enjoyed this book and it is still all these years later a great read.

Good story

The Last Cop Out features a stunning eye-catching bare-bottomed model on its cover. Unfortunately, that's the best part of this book. The book features a disgruntled ex-cop and a set of Mafia bosses who are being knocked off one at a time. Although there are a lot of great ingredients here, the end result was choppy, disjointed, and simply not up to Spillane's usual standards.

Its pure Spillane. Always at the top of his game. Reality as it used to be. This is good reading.

another truly great book by the master. Not Mike Hammer, but This is one of his best yet He will be missed.

Typical hard boiled Mickey Spillane. Plenty of twists and turns and action on every page.

Sadly no longer with us. A favourite author of mine. I have enjoyed his novels over the years and this book is no different. If you like the bad guys getting their due desserts then Mickey Spillane is the writer for you. Recommended.
