XBOOM Ceramic Mini Portable Capsule Speaker with Rechargeable Battery, Enhanced Bass+ and Ceramic Resonator - Red

Okay, I am listening to the box as I am typing this review. The basics: Received very quickly; packaging new and intact (didn't appear as if receiving one that had been previously returned. The charging process was very quick; actually plugged into my mp3 and started listening, as it was charging. Was surprised however how short the cord connectors are. I will not be able to charge via my universal wall charger, unless I place the Boombox on a table within very close proximity with the wall charger. Nonetheless, charging from my laptop was no problem. Every item required was packaged in the box; nothing missing. Now to the sound: Not bad. Not bad at all. I am satisfied. I had to turn up the volume on my mp3, along with the volume on the Boombox. I do notice that with some songs the volume and bass is notably impressive, yet with others, satisfactory. End result: this gives me what I wanted. It's not Bose sound, of course. It only costs $27 (only item purchased, didn't get free shipping). For a small speaker, for portability, for the price, this is a thumbs up. I'd recommend it.

Nice little speaker. Using it in my 12 x 8 greenhouse with a cheap Clip Jam plugged in. It has decent quality for that purpose. I have to turn off two noisy fans to really hear it - the volume is good, but I wouldn't say it's really a loud speaker (am going to try my ipod with it which has a louder volume than clip jam) Working well for my needs. Didn't want a big investment to leave in the greenhouse environment. Surprised it came with a built in very short cord to easily plug in your ipod, clip jam or whatever you use, and a charge cord (with two charge ends), and a longer plug in cord. Seems to be decent quality. Two connected together would like give more volume and improve sound.

Speaker really does sound great for what it is.I mistakenly thought this was Bluetooth enabled, which is why there is loss of 1 star. (not because of my mistake, that's a fail altogether! lol) But I really wanted a product that was BT capable, because nobody wants to be tangled up in cords any more! (at least I don't).So if you're looking for BT enabled, keep looking. But... If this company makes a BT version, I would definitely buy it!

When I use this with my iPhone 6+ there is no increase in the volume of the sound between the phone and speaker, but the quality of the sound is noticeably improved. The clarity and bass is much better. It's like the iPhone 6+ has the sound quality of an old transistor radio while the XBOOM has the sound quality of a nice boombox, with volume levels being equal. I only have one and have not been able to compare volume with several XBOOM speakers connected in series.

Ok, I admit it - I was skeptical... capsule speakers are never particularly good, I knew that before I purchased it. How wrong was I?? This is seriously good stuff! =) The sound is clear and crisp and LOUD - we also use it for listening to podcasts in bed and it's actually a bit disconcerting - it sounds like the narrator is sitting on our headboard talking to us!! That's how clear it is... music is also pretty nice - even the bass which really surprised me. =) Granted you don't get the same sort of ground shaking effect you'd get from a full-size sub, but for something that big to sound that loud, that's impressive!

I loved this little speaker at first and the sound was great. It is still OK but the speaker does not expand any more and I feel the sound is somewhat muted by it. I would like another but am afraid it would do the same thing. I wanted to have several to hook together for listening out doors but do not think I will purchase more.

I bought one of these for a park get-together. I had it on for maybe 8 hours straight, did great.The bottom wire does work as audio-input, as do the two extra wires that come with it.Many people would switch out their iPods and phones to play different music.The sound quality is great, and will surprise you, as will how high the volume can go. (at highest, best heard within 50 feet)Make sure you have either the speaker or device volume all the way high, and then controlling the volume with the other.I may buy a second one for back up volume.

Amazingly big sound from such a little thing! I use it anywhere I feel like listening to music where I can't/don't want to use headphones. Want to play music while you're in the shower? Plug this into your phone and set them on the counter and rock on while you soap up. It's handy for playing music almost anywhere you want to play your music.And it holds a charge for quite a while, too. I love the sound and the ability to recharge it.I liked it so much I bought more as gifts.
