Rachel Wesson hit the nail on the head with this book. She touched areas so many won’t do. People then, and now, don’t approve of “soiled doves”; but, Rachel Wesson forces us to see there are often reasons these young ladies did, or do, what they did. In this book we see too many girls and women forced into a situation they don’t want to be in (although there is no sexual content). Was there a legal way to put a stop to it? How were the women treated by the men, and women in some cases, that “owned” them? As for Erin, my heart went out to her. What happened to her that caused her to travel to Clover Springs? Was she welcomed and was she, as a woman in those days, allowed to practice medicine; and, if so, was she really a doctor? As for Mick, what was his story? What happened to his family and why was he so willing to help women and children? This story not only kept me guessing as to what would happen next or to Erin; it also made me think about another side to life, the darker side. Why people do what they do is often a question we don’t ask and this author made me think about it. Even though this book dealt with “soiled doves”, immigrants, or possible negative situations; it wasn’t all dark. I loved the interaction between Wilma and Father Malloy along with so many of our other Clover Springs favorites. I highly recommend this book, as well as the entire series, as a MUST read.

How far will this romance go?There are so many great characters in this book. Murder, danger and much more. If you liked this type of book it is a must read. I loved reading it, enjoy.Rachael Wesson is a talented writer.

Just finished this installment in the series and I have to say it's the best one yet. The main character, Erin, has guts and brains. The hero, Mick, has heart. There is an edge on your seat scene towards the end that left me cheering for Erin. I won't give anything away, but it's rare for me to cheer during reading a book! I could picture how this scene would play out in a movie and found myself dying to see this book turned into a movie! Loved it!

I loved this latest trip to Clover Springs. This whole series is truly magical and you really feel like these people are your family. This trip brings a new lady Dr Erin. She has a troubled past that she'd like to leave behind, but there's always someone who has to put a dampener on it. Mick is another lost soul with a nightmare childhood, who has been looking for his family for years. Come to Clover Springs and read this whole series, you won't regret it! They are all stand alone books that tie together like family. Rachel Wesson is truly a talented author!

oh my goodness this book was just outstanding! I loved the way Rachel weaves her stories so that you take the journey her characters take in the book. It was so different from other mail order bride stories. So sweet yet surprises were always just around the next bend. A clean romance story that captures the heart. I would recommend this book to anyone. Filled with healing, joys, and love! I fell in love with the characters in this book. They all had their own stories to tell. Rachel you have a winner. :)

I chose this rating because it is a very good and clean book. I recommend it to any one who likes to read.

I have enjoyed all of the previous books in the series and this one did not disappoint! I have already downloaded book number 10 and hope to start it in a few minutes. Enjoy your read!!!
