Replacement Front Screen Glass Lens for iPhone 4S Black + Tool Kit

It's been a learning experience. When I took the phone apart I discovered that I needed more than just the front lens, I had to scramble to order a lens with a digitizer. I did this, but made another mistake by ordering one that had to ship from China. After realizing that mistake, I placed another order using Amazon Prime which I received in two days. One month later, I still do not have the one from China. Moral of the story, just because a product is cheaper, if you need it in a hurry, be aware of from where it is shipping. If I had known to order the lens with the digitizer in the first place, and then to make sure it was shipping direct from Amazon, I would not have been without my phone for over a week.

This front glass repair kit is great. I have taken cell phones apart and fixed the “unfixable” phones. I’ve repaired phones that Apple and ATT have told me that they couldn’t do anything. And, they said the phone was finished. For example, when it fell in the lake. “Oh, no. You’ll have to get another I just took it apart down to the last screw and put it on a very hot heater for 3 days. ...worked like new after that.BUT, WITH THIS NEW FRONT GLASS, IT SEEMS TO BE A BIT MORE DIFFICULT THAN ONE COULD IMAGINE. When you must remove well over a dozen screws and parts, it seems that it might be a bit more than I could handle. One screw or part misplaced or put in wrong, and you’ve got a mess.I should have gotten a new phone.I am going to try to return this if ATT or Apple won’t or can’t do it for me.

Need a professional to separate the glass lens from the digitizer, waste of money for that.However, the tools included have facilitated me working on my iPhone 4 and also a Samsung Galaxy S4, so for that i recommend this.

The product is great. The only problem I had was putting back together the phone and I guess that's my fault! Beware before you try and do this yourself, you might end up with an even more broken Iphone.

Before ordering the Glass, please know how to separate the glass from the digitizer board and have the correct equipment. If you are new at replacing IPhone screens this item is not for you.Save your self some frustration and new what your ordering, the part in fact is the correct glass for the iPhone 4s. If you are good at separating glass from digitizer.

If you do not know how to change them don’t buy. But for those who do this is a perfect set to get.

It would have been nice to know that there is no way of replacing this screen without needing to replace the LCD and digitizer also, which all have to come already attached. Especially on iPhones which are black not white, you really can't detach the LCD from the screen. Something in the way it's constructed is different than the white.
