PowerPlay Battery Extender - Cosmo Black - Nintendo 3DS

The device itself was matte which is a relief from the fingerprint magnet that is the gloss. The device itself adds a bit of much needed girth to the 3DS. This helps with playing the game for long periods of time. I did notice the screen flicker issue at first, but it seems like its related to the battery being low. After letting it charge for about 20 minutes I plugged it back in and no problems. Keep in mind that this device does not have a battery status led. This may be a way, by design or plain luck, to tell when its time to shut it off. You don't get easy access to the game and stylus but I'm not bothered by that.

We purchased this at the same time we purchased my son's 3DS system. The 3DS's battery life is notoriously poor, so we wanted something to extend it. What we ended up with is a product that provided so much more than just improved battery life.The case of this product fits around the 3DS like a glove. It protects it from falls and makes the 3DS much easier to hold on to. Kids remark on the coolness factor of the cover. Parents like the protection factor. I'm always leary of "must have" accessories. Especially since the systems are so expensive. But I have to admit this one was worth more than we paid.

Wow after reading the above reviews I had high hopes for this case. I actually purchased 2 of them. 1 of the units had the flickering issue reported by another user and was apparently defective. The worst part of this case by far however is the fact that you have to actually take off the back of the case in order to CHANGE OUT THE GAME YOU ARE PLAYING OR EVEN GET TO YOUR STYLUS! That's right folks. I don't know how this company thought anyone would go for that. I have a lot of cases for a lot of devices and can honestly say this is the worst one I have even purchased for any device. It you want a quality charger that is. Ot just plain stupid you should look at getting the Dreamgear Powercase. That is what I purchased to replace these and have been pleased.

Used this on a plane to and from Los Angeles and let me me tell you, this thing has power! Easy to snap on, smooth surface....pleased in every way. I play a lot of Super Street Fighter IV on my 3DS and this is definitely the best one on the market...I just hope more people find out about this gem ;)

I admit, despite the complaints from the others (Cannot access stylus, game etc) this was a very useful pack for a while. It made it so I could play practically all day, though I found it worked best if I turned it on and off every now and then and staggered the charge it gave, as it seemed to keep it from overheating. That worked, and it never really flickered...But then it broke. It started to flicker, and the orange charging light wouldn't stay on unless the system was off. Then it stopped charging. It's only 5 months old and its already broken

This product has let me play my games on long road trips and business trips, and haven't had one issue with it. It also adds some grip to the system itself which is always appreciated on the bumpy trips. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

this thing has a great idea but when i got it it seemed defectivei installed the system in the unit and when i played it with the power on the unit the screen and charging light flickered and the top screen flivkering wouldonly stop when the brightness level was set to 3 and under 4 and 5 would have the flickering but the charge light never stopped flickering unless it was in sleep mode or off so if u guys dont have this problem let me know

it makes the factory battery on the nintendo 3ds last for upto 24 hrs. sold. i have had mine since saturday it's the best
