Kamisama Kiss, Vol. 17 (17)

I recently started reading this series and this volume is my favorite so far. It’s not the typical love story. The characters are interesting and the story is beautifully executed. Also the character design and artwork is amazing.

I started reading this manga (which I still think of as Kamisama Hajimemashita, I've never been fond of the English title at all, but I understand why they did it) in the form of fan-translated scans in 2009 and have followed the series ever since. You can imagine that I was thrilled when I found out Viz media was going to publish it! I've been buying the volumes every since.In this edition, the time travel arc is wrapped up beautifully with all the little hints of Tomoe's past we saw in earlier volumes being answered for the most part, and the author beautifully works the story to weave together elements of the present with the past. There's a lot happening in this volume!This has been one of my favorite series. I love the artwork, the characters, the setting, the storyline, the mixture of genres is lovely, I especially love all the traditional Japanese images and themes, there's nothing quite like Japanese mythology and folklore to make for an amazing, unique story (at least to us in the west)! It has a very good mix of emotion, drama, action, comedy, romance, and it's kept my attention for over six years! I buy each volume in English as it comes out to show my support for this amazing series and I hope this series will continue for a while!Since this volume is so far up in the series, it's hard to talk about specifics of the story without dragging so much of the other volumes and story into it, but whether you're a returning from-the-start fan like I am who's read all 16 up to this point (and then some; I read fan scans/translations of the monthly magazine release) I recommend continuing to read, because this volume is just as lovely as all the others (if not more so! I've especially loved the later volumes, the story has gotten better and better with each new chapter) and it's worth the investment to own all 17; the mangaka is amazing and is totally deserving of every cent and then some for her beautiful artwork and story!And as for anyone curious about this series and wants to start reading... I recommend it 100%!

I love this sweet series and how it's developed over the years. It's a warm fuzzy I love to dig into and relax. The artwork is cute and quirky, the storyline gentle and heartfelt. A great contrast to some of the adventure manga I also love. Not that it doesn't have a bit of excitement in store for readers, but this one is more slice of life paranormal and perfect for cuddling up on a cool fall evening!

I adore Tomoe and Nanami and I've so happy they FINALLY got together. Such a great series. Love your work Julietta Suzuki. ❤️

This is the manga that wraps everything up. No, it's not the last, but we finally understand the story of Yukiji and Tomoe (and Nanami's involvement). I won't give away any spoilers, but this manga is must have. We finally get the happiness we've been waiting for as readers, and I couldn't be more pleased with how Suzuki has tired everything together in this manga series.If you're thinking of picking up this manga series, don't delay. This is the best manga series since Fruits Basket!

I watched the anime first, fell in love, and read all of the manga. I am so pleased that Suzuki is writing another book! Tomoe and Nanami are so endearing, and I even have a soft spot for Akura-oh. The story is sufficiently complex with plenty of "cute" frames and humor. If you haven't read all of these, I recommend it! The manga goes much further into the story than the anime, although they also diverge at some points.

This really is a fun series that my girls can't seem to get enough of!

Kamisama Kiss is always good.This volume concludes the 'Journey to the Past, and cure Tomoe of his curse' arc that began in Volume 14.Ships are finally fulfilled. Yes! Nothing better then this volume. Get it. Get now!If you haven't read Kamisama Kiss before, you should probably start at volume one.. but yes, this arc begins in volume 14. So go! Go Get it!

This volume and chapter 16 covers the past arc. This is something you should really not miss. I didn’t expect scenes to be so defined and well drawn with less low quality moments. The drawings are so beautiful and looks exactly like the anime. If you want to continue the manga from where the anime ends buy vol 18
