World War II for Kids: A History with 21 Activities (For Kids series) Kindle Edition

The content seems good and I especially like the many activities it suggests. This will be great as we homeschool using this material next month.I am however disappointed with the finished product. The pages themselves are printed on nice paper but the tops of the pages did not go through the production slicer appropriately. That means that adjoining pages have a fold at the top instead of separated pages. I have to read the book with a letter opener by my side so that I can slit through the fold's edge in order to read the pages in between.

Out of all the historical books we have gotten I can say this one is our favorite!! I cannot say enough good things about these books. It gives you a true sense of exploring the past with really easy to do projects, games and activities. I have grandchildren ages 9 and 7 and we have really enjoyed this book and the other historical books we have gotten!! The book is made well, the cover is nice and pages are large and easy to read. If you enjoy doing things with children you will really enjoy this book. Not sure what age range is recommended on this book, but after having used it I think any age range would be good. Let's face it, you get out of a book, what you are willing to put into a book. Put yourself into a book or two and ENJOY!!! Plus the kids will love it!!

This was a gift to one of my previous upper elementary students who loves history. When he opened it he said, "Hey, this is right down my alley!" I love the activities and applications that make history alive. This is a treasure!

My eight year old grandson is interested with World War Two history. He is able to read the book and can ask questions about the suggested crafts at the end of the chapters.

My 7-year-old grandson, who loves the topic and had a great-grandfather who was an army medic in this war, loved this book!! I sent it to keep him occupied while the country was on lockdown for the pandemic.

On a trip to Fort Walton in Washington State my 10 year old was so interested in the history of the place he wanted to know all he could about the military and the wars the United States has been involved in. This book was easy for him to understand and very informative.

This book generally delivers on its purpose, which is to introduce young readers to the important topic of World War II. In my estimation, if your child isn't already interested, this book may not necessarily awaken him or her (Ambrose's "The Good Fight" is better), but for your interested son or daughter, ages 8 to 13 or so, this is a useful resource. As a history it is pretty light, but it is not a bad overview, and provides some great insight into the Home Front and other non-traditional perspectives on the War. There are a few WW-II themed crafts and activity ideas, all of which are pointless and the very type of things that children and their parents ignore the world over.

A present for my grandsons 9th birthday, he is into WW2 they are learning at school, he loved the book

It was very black and white. I expected it to be more kind of appropriate for young people today. Jack just glanced at it..

This book is totally for the American Market - not a good tool for learning for British's children - I decided not to give the book to my child for Christmas and shall be asking for a refund - unfortunately the other two negative reviews were not available at the time of ordering !!!
