High quality UK 3 pin plug for hifi components. Easier to wire up large shielded cables than a standard plug It has a large cable clamp and the three terminals arranged in a straight row. Take care when fitting up as the terminals are fairly easy to bend out of shape whilst manhandling chunky cables into place, unless the terminals are snugly in place.

I have a couple of these superb MS HD (silver) plugs and needed them when I bought some high-end ultra-thick Furutech mains cable to upgrade my pre-amp & power-amp mains supply.Apart from the wonderful but even costlier Furutech plugs, little else compares to MS HD plugs.If you have moderately thick, 'normal' AWG mains cable to work into a power lead, then the excellent MK Toughplug (Gold or silver) will do an admirable job. But the internal casing design just isn't big enough to fit very fat Furutech cable.The MS HD has a clever terminal design in that the three screw-terminal pins are arranged in a row (a little like wiring up a conventional IEC plug) and even the thick cable is relatively easy to route and fasten.It is all robust, high-quality manufacture and the plating is of excellent standard. An excellent silver-plated 13A fitted fuse contributes to the fine performance.You can re-wire with MS HD plugs with confidence - the cable will fit properly, the terminals will take hefty audiophile cable, and the signal benefit of improved current delivery to your hi-fi is clear and tangible.Highly recommended.
