Rare Hawaiian Organic Kiawe Honey by Teavana

I put this raw, organic, white hawaiian honey on a piece of toasted multigrain bread from Great Harvest. After it pops up, I add a generous helping of raw creamy cashew butter (available in bulk at Whole Foods), followed by a heaping teaspoon of the honey. It's breakfast but it's SO healthy and this honey is seriously unlike ANY other honey I've ever tasted. It's simply the best. I don't even like honey, and my Dad is a beekeeper. I won't eat his honey, but the Organic White honey is made from only one hawaiian flower on the Big Island (I think it is the Kaiwe) blossom). Plus it ha a whipped consistency so isn't runny and messy like other honey's. I suggest mixing it with cashew butter on a piece of good toast (I like the Nutty Grain bread, or pretty much any bread from Great Harvest Bread Company. Mmmm! so healthy!

I know it is utterly and totally ridiculous to pay over $25 for 8 ounces of honey but this is a slurge that I only afford myself once a year! I don't share unless I am going to buy it for someone as a gift. It is smooth and creamy not sticky like traditional honey with just the right amount of sweetness. Warning: highly addictive but a little goes a long way!

This is the best honey I have ever tasted, there is nothing like it. Only plan on using this on things where you will fully taste it and appreciate the exotic sweet flavor. Its good in tea but I would not recommend using something this expensive and great tasting in tea as it will not be fully appreciated. I will agree with others who say it tastes like a light frosting. I see why its this expensive, its worth every penny.

This honey is divine. It's so good you'll eat it like a snack, all by itself. It is creamy and sweet and slowly dissolves to a flowery essence on your tongue. Tasting almost like cake frosting, my kids love to eat it by the spoonful. But it is expensive and rare so save it for special moments. Great for dissolving in your tea, there is never any lumpy goo at the bottom of your cup. And the flavor is so delicate that it doesn't overpower the flavor of your tea. I highly recommend it! I gave it as a gift and the recipients loved it so much they ordered the giant 20 oz jar!

If there is a single better honey out there, I have not yet found it. And I have tried. Lighter in color and density than most honeys, the creamy consistency just makes it spread easier.

I am an avid honey consumer, and have had the best in the world... This goes beyond the others, in a class by themselves... Well worth the extra bucks.
