Absolutely Worth The Money...
I was looking for a professional grade popsicle maker but one that would fit in a regular freezer this one is perfect... and at this point in time the only one of its size that I have found. All the others usually make 20 or 22 popsicles is a minimum and the mold is usually close to 20 to 25 inches long.... way too large to fit in a regular household freezer. They make six models I bought the one that has the largest capacity molds...115 ml..which is approximately 3 oz and of the standard square popsicle shape.I found that approximately one quart of mix is enough to fill the 8 cavities so it's very quick using a quart mason jar to mix ingredients and pour into the mold. And of course being a commercial mold you're not attempting to fill each one individually like you are with normal household popsicle makers you just pour the mix in and it settles in all of the mold openings at one time the top being formed in the shape of a tray. You then take the cover piece which has the popsicle sticks in it place it down in and stick it in the freezer. And it stands perfectly upright on its own.I also like the fact that the sticks are held in the cover via spring loaded clips which you have the option of opening all at once or one by one and the popsicle sticks are at the exact height and centered exactly for the molds.Shipping did take a little bit of time...almost 6 weeks...but then it had to come via regular parcelfrom China and not an expensive form of expedited. However the item was well packed and even though the packing box showed significant banging around damage the mold itself was undamaged. While it is almost triple the price of the other stainless steel popsicle molds it is well worth the money with both the ease-of-use and the fact that it consists only of two pieces the mold base and the stick holder there are not any little rubber rings or mold lids to be lost... the regular ones you buy that make 6 popsicles will consist of a minimum of 19 pieces... 6 molds, 6 lids, six rings to hold the sticks in place, and a base stand that holds the filled molds... and no fiddling to get sticks in the right position or having to very carefully fill each individual mold with the consequent risk of spillage and making a mess.
