The perfect all purpose watch!
I have had 2 of these watches. I gave one away to a friend who really needed a watch so I bought another one for myself. I'm ordering another one as a back up because the price is very good right now. It's a very good watch for the money. Simple, solid and well constructed. It keeps good time, is water resistant to 330 feet and you just can't beat the 10 year battery life. I haven't had the watch for ten years but even if it lasts 6 or 7 years it's still a bargain! It's been the perfect all purpose watch. It can be worn to work and for play. It's nice enough to wear as a dress watch and reasonably sturdy enough for most types of work. When I say work I don't mean abuse-if it's going to hurt you then it's probably going to hurt the watch! People keep complaining about the band adjustment. The band is easy to adjust once you learn how. There are you tube videos demonstrating how to adjust this type of watchband. Many watches use this type of setup. Once you learn how to adjust the band you will have acquired another money saving skill. If I had to have only one watch, this one would be my choice.

Nicest Under $50 USD Dress Watch I Now Own
If I handed this watch to you and ask you to guess how much I paid, you'd likely guess $150...maybe if you saw the Casio name, the "Ediface" line, you might guess $80...but you would NEVER guess $34. Here's the thing...it's metal...probably not high end...but it's nice. It weighs a nice weight, the crystal is great, the face is VERY nice, and it's 38mm. I have a nice Seiko 5 that is an automatic, and yeah, it's a bit nicer than this, but I gave $105 for that years ago. Oh, it also has a 10 year battery. This watch now joins my Casio AE1200-WH as my only 2 quartz watches with 10 year batteries. I am just gobsmacked with this watch. As all REAL watch lovers (horologists...and you aren't a true watch lover until you know this word BTW) become, eventually, they realize that Casio has watch design, manufacturing, etc...down to the point where the value is maximized and there just isn't really any competition here. Sure, it's quartz. Sure, I love my automatics...my Seikos, my Invictas, but seriously, I won't be embarassed at all wearing this watch in front of my horologist friends...because it is that good, and LOOKS that good. Go buy one now.

Good looking, inexpensive, well made watch
Very good and inexpresive watch. Not sure how Casio makes this watch for this price, is better made than an 100$ swatch.I use a G shock āGā for a long time but wanted to try an analog watch that is not as big for day to day at work and casual wear. This watch is flimsy compared to the G, but few watches are not flimsy compared with the G. Overall good quality construction, watertight (did not swim with it but it did not fog up w taking a shower or washing it). For now managed to keep the dial pristine despite not going crazy to protect it. The bracelet is the folded links type and quite large out of the box for my average 7inch wrist. I saw a couple you tube videos and then it took about 15 min to size it down (4 links out I think) using a cheap watch tool set so I guess this should not be a problem for most people.Update: picture added. The watch is relatively small in diameter but looks good on wrist and is easy to read. The lume is weak to non existent compared to Seiko but not a real issue in day to day.

Nice value watch
Hard to find a better value watch than a $35 Casio. Great looking dial, smaller sized (37), and light weight so easy to wear. Only issue is the bracelet, which is a real pain to size unless you've had practice with these low end Casio bracelets. But once sized it looks good and surprisingly doesn't pull many hairs. For $35, this is a nice value watch.

This is a great everyday watch
This watch is inexpensive, well made and works wonderfully. I never take it off, wear it in the shower and in the pool. I have no problem with band rust (another reviewer complained his rusts a bit when he sweats in it but I have not yet had that problem). It keeps remarkably accurate time, it is easy to read, it is simple and does not have features that I do not need. It is constructed adequately to neither "look cheap" nor "feel cheap." I did not pay for features that I never use (which I have in the past) and I did not pay enough to have to worry about breaking it. It is absolutely perfect for what I need it for: It tells the time accurately; it has the date on the face that is easily set when you go "thirty days in September..." or however that goes; and it has a second hand. Highly recommend for just a simple watch.

Attractive, quality watch for a great price! Re-sizing took 10min with household tools I had.
Attractive, quality watch for a great price! Really like the blue face and the styling of the band. Some reviews said the band edges are a little rough, while I agree they could be smoother, I do not have a comfort issue as-is. Easy to set time and date with 2-position pull-out dial.Resizing the watch is a little tricky but only took about 10min following the directions another user mentioned in a YouTube video titled "How To re-size the Metal Band on a Casio Wave Ceptor". The watch band in the video is the same as this model. Like the video, I used my smallest flat-head screwdriver and a pin to remove the link, and needle-nose pliers to reinstall. I had to remove three links ... I removed 2 on 1 side and 1 on the other to balance. Once I figured out how to removed the first link (which took 5 very frustrating minutes), the other links were easy to remove and took about 1 minute each. In addition to the video instructions, one thing that helped was to hold the watch band against a small block of wood with my left hand (making sure not to block the outlet for the flat-pin), and push on the pin with my right hand using the screw driver. This made it easier to stabilize the watch band with my left hand, so I could apply more pressure with the screw driver to more easily push out the flat-pin.I highly recommend this watch!
