I thought these would be the best quality mat feeders and they are very well made and sturdy. However, far from being a calming activity, my dogs get very frustrated as the soft food gets stuck in the corners and they can't get it out no matter how long they try. The "bumps" in the plastic go right up to the edge leaving a tiny space which the dogs just can't access. I have both large and small dogs but it makes no difference.

Bought this Lickimat Slomo for my dog for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! We give this to her with a smear of trixie premio and some of her kibble wedged in the gaps as a treat to keep her occupied and she is well away! She clearly enjoys the licking action and the rubberised coating on the bottom means that the mat doesn't move while she's working at it.Whilst we use this when our pooch has supervision, for some pets this might be suitable as a distraction to keep them occupied whilst people are out.All in all I would recommend (as would the dog!)

My dog loves this, it's a good size which makes it excellent for taking his regular raw food. I often freeze it to make it harder for him.Only three stars because it has distorted in the dishwasher despite saying it's dishwasher safe. I advice washing by hand only!

Bought to last longer than a silicone lick mat but this was worse. Suggests nit feeling guilty about leaving dog but this would have been destroyed and my dog is little. Sadly would not recommend.

I bought this mat to stop my Siamese bolting biscuits, which ended all too often in him regurgitating them. He really enjoys the process of nibbling them out of the prong shapes and he is much less likely to vomit. I have also put hairball paste on the concave areas and he has happily slurped it all up.It is machine washable, but I just give it a quick hand wash to keep it hygienic

We have two very large dogs and have gone through so many typical lickimats - our one dog (dobermann x gsd) chews through the typical ones you find in stores so quickly. I like this one I think they're better suited to the bigger breeds or extreme chewers - the gaps are bigger to fit more in (and takes more time for them to get out) its thick and durable. Customer for life for these lickimats as I really had given up replacing the ones in shops. These have lasted us so long.

These licki mats do not disappoint when it comes to durability- yes one of my dachshunds has tried to chew and not overly succeeded in it. My only little niggle is trying to clean them which can be a pain but the dishwasher does a fairly better job than I do by hand. All in all i highly recommend these as they are sturdier and have 2 types of entertainment for the dog within the plate enabling mental stimulation for your dog or cat and enables a variety of foods to be used as extra taste and enrichment.

Bought this for my 10 month old puppy and he absolutely loves it. Great for keeping them occupied and I like that it has different segments to include dry food. It’s also really easy to clean which is great!
