Hercules Acoustic Guitar Stand (GS401BB) , Black

I wanted to find a compact folding guitar stand that would fit into my equipment bag. This stand is very compact, but is well built and holds my guitar securely. I used to have to make several trips back and forth between by truck and the stage. Now all I carry is my guitar and a small gig bag.

I love this new stand. It's small and portable, yet built like a tank. The weight is almost all against the ground, making tipping this stand over more difficult than it is with most portable stands (looking at you, Proline). On top of all that, there's still enough clearance for my ToneWood Amp to stay mounted on the back of my guitar, a must if you've ever heard one! My new favorite portable stand, kudos Hercules!

This is an exceptionally smart design for a folding compact stand. Really sturdy, I own 5 of the other Hercules stands and this is a good alternative.

This stand is small enough to back almost anywhere and sturdy enough to handle a good sized acoustic bass guitar.

This is a really good guitar stand. Most stands this size are pretty flimzy and do not hold the instrument very well. This little guy is amazingly sturdy, very light considering the robust materials used and packs away quickly and neatly into a folded configuration.

Small, sturdy, portable, stable, light, easy to fold in seconds, and holds my Taylor acoustic guitar as good or better than larger stands. What more could you want? I've been so impressed with every Hercules product that I own and this did not disappoint either. I fold it up and put it in my Hercules BSB001 bag with my Hercules portable music stand and I'm set.

The stand is made with quality components. The issue I have is that it leans the guitar too far back to the point it becomes unstable.An additional issue is that one cannot return this product. It's made in Northern Ireland and the shipping costs nearly equals the price. The manufacturer did offer to take $5 off the price if I kept is. I accepted.

I bought two of these, one for an acoustic, the other for an electric. I loved them at first. But after a few months, the foam started to deteriorate or melt away, and left a thick residue tar-like substance on my guitars and ruined the finish on my acoustic guitar. I was able to carefully clean it off my electric without ruining the finish, but the light lacquer on my Martin has superficial damage. The screws on the stand also started rust. I'm very disappointed. I posted pictures

As with other Hercules instrument stands, its robust construction inspires confidence when you place your precious musical instrument on it. I bought mine for a recently acquired acoustic bass guitar and feel that as long as I take a moment to place my bass on it accurately, it's remarkably stable. I'm sure there are lighter compact guitar stands out there but I find it hard to believe they'd be as stable. As has been said elsewhere, I'd be reluctant to use it 'on stage' but its ideal for taking to rehearsals or using at home.

Looks like a sturdy, well finished piece of kit, but looks can be deceptive. Last night as I was watching TV, the guitar (untouched) just started to rotate on the stand and fell onto a wooden chest, happened too quick for me to catch it, end result was a dent in the side of the neck!!! Looking at the design, there is no real support for the guitar at the back, and the arms that the body rest on are too close together. BAD INVESTMENT, will have to return to Amazon.

Excelente soporte. Los materiales son resistentes y es muy práctico para montar y desmontar. Tiene un modo de montar para guitarra acústica y otro para eléctrica. Es bastante estable porque las patas tienen seguros para mantenerlas firmes y evita que se abran de más o se cierren por accidente. La funda que viene en la caja es excelente para transportarlo fácilmente.
