Snap! [VINYL]

I was never a jam fan when they were popular in the ‘80s. I was more of a Style Council fan. But as time went by, their music began to grow on me. So what can l say? This Jam release, “Snap”, a compilation album of hit singles, is a must-have. Also, it’s nice to own this title release on vinyl, although l do believe this release is a reissue on vinyl again. The vinyl plays well, with a good sound. So whether you’re a fanatic, a fan, or a casual listener of The Jam’s music, l recommend you buy the vinyl release for a more pleasurable enjoyment.

My husband loves The Jam and I bought him this album on vinyl as a present, The sound is fantastic and it’s great to hear all best known songs on one record, really pleased to have an extra live EP aswell as we have never heard this before.

I already own the original vinyl and live 45 7" from 1983 although now a little worn so I thought I'd treat myself to the new reissue on heavyweight vinyl.It is a great selection of songs which includes some album tracks and a fantastic demo version of that's entertainment. There's a remix of funeral pyre which does sound better than the original 7' mix in my opinion.The album cover artwork is much better reproduced than the ones in the LP box set released a few years back and the vinyl is nice and clean.A bit pricey at £25 but the original including 7" in near mint condition would probably set you back around £35 possibly higher.Would be nice to get the BBC sessions released on vinyl ideally transferred from analogue where possible. Some of the BBC sessions unofficial bootleg vinyls you could pick up back in the day sound so much better than the digitised versions we get on the jam at the BBC release.A good compilation for the casual listener and showcases the unique power of the jam.

Great album bought it as a CD when it came out back in the day. Lovely to hear on Vinyl. The EP of Wembley a treat as I was there! Great tracks you can hear how Weller developed his craft from “in the City” right up to “Beat Surrender. A real treat for Original Jam Fans and for those hearing it for the first time now.

Absolute fantastic collection of classic tracks from one of the best bands ever. Includes so many non album tracks, just buy it.
