HARD seat cushion, but still worth it to me for tailbone relief
I took some time on this stool before reviewing it because I almost returned it for how hard the cushion was when I initially sat on it. I put out feelers to other owners via Amazon's Ask Question feature to ask if this stool's cushion softened over time. If it did, I'd hold off returning it. No, they said, it did not. I decided to keep it anyway. Here's why.I bought it to help me heal from a damaged coccyx other office chairs had injured. This stool, though deathly hard (think uncomfortable bicycle seat), lets me sit in the low position without sitting on my tailbone. I could if I wanted to, but there are several ways to sit on this perch without doing so. I can sit on my upper thighs if it feels more comfortable, straddle the seat, or even sit on a foot. And because of the seat's firm cushion I do find I have to change positions frequently. It's a nuisance, but also, probably, beneficial because I'm not sitting in one position all the time, so a blessing in disguise. Most important, my tailbone is able to get a break and has not worsened from using this chair. Because I can also stretch out my legs while sitting I can avoid extra leg edema, another thing I hoped to help alleviate with this seat.I did not buy this to use as a standing stool, though I can still sit/lean creatively off my tailbone when the stool is tall. And I do use it tall sometimes specifically to stretch my legs and prevent edema. The wobble is enough for me, and with it's sturdiness in the base (several users reported not being able to separate the pole from the base when trying to return it) I don't feel wary of it coming off and sending me to the floor.I have two wishes for this product: 1.) A slightly softer cushion, because yes, when I first sat on it my backside hollered at me. But not much softer, because I know from experience what happens when you sit on something with not enough cushion and wind up sitting on the hard platform underneath—a sore butt. 2.) A lower position by at least four inches. I measured this before I bought it to make sure it went under my desk, and it does, but it does not go low enough for me to type comfortably on my keyboard tray, which pulls out below my desk's top. I'm more even at my desk's top, but always worked more on my keyboard tray, so I have adjust my workflow. Maybe that's not a bad thing, but I really miss being able to sit lower at that tray. In those times I'll pull in another chair. One unexpected thing I love: I can make my stool disappear completely in my small office under my desk so my office feels bigger. That's always a plus.Overall I give this product 3 1/2 to 4 stars, four officially because it IS helping my tailbone and edema issues. If it went lower and had the slightly softer cushion, it'd be five stars for me.

Good until it wasn't
I purchased this stool 3 years ago & was used daily at my work desk. It has recently broken down and needs to be replaced (shorter lifespan than I was expecting). The 'wobble' function has broken & it's at a 30-40% tilt permanently & doesn't come back to center properly. It is a great stool for sitting on while building core/back strength. The seat is firm, but I didn't find it uncomfortable. It was easy to assemble & start using. It easily moved with my sit/stand desk and was able to hold up to occasional use as a parkour prop by my teenager. The key complaint I do have with this stool is that is leaks black oil out the bottom of the stool. I have black stains on my carpet where the stool sits. This has been ongoing for the entire time I've had it (I originally had my office in a different room & have black stains now on both carpets).

The best stool you can buy
This stool is amazing. It’s super comfortable, spins and rocks. It has all the great benefits a fidgeter needs! It was so easy to put together. It’s 100% worth it

Seat material is kind of slippery
I bought the chair to help for work. It was a bit pricey for the like new offering. I picked that one due to the fact I needed it sooner. The seat cover does not stay on and a missing screw for the bottom and it was also broken plastic piece on bottom. So disappointing.

Changed Seat
Bought two of these a few years ago. They have held up well, especially the gas cylinder, which is a failure point for some adjustable stools and chairs. However, the manufacturer changed the prior flat seat to sculpted. Some may find it more comfortable, but I find it inconvenient as orientation of the seat is required before using. Otherwise this is a five star product.

Sturdiness achieved!
I love this! One of the best purchases ever. There was discomfort at first, but took less than a week to adjust. I have tried as a sit, lean, spin.. So far, no issues with hydraulics. I will not go back to a standard chair ever again. Thank you!

Airlift 360 Sit-Stand stool helped reduce back pain, improve back & neck muscles, engage core
About me:Mid-30s, 5'7" ~130lbsModerate daily physical activity12+ hours/day sitting, constant up/down & walking aroundAfter using a couch-style chair daily for months at a computer desk, I noticed my neck muscles start to atrophy from constant back/neck support and little engagement when sitting. Previous muscle issues started coming back, so I needed something that would engage my body more and keep my muscles active and mitigate atrophy.I researched thoroughly and purchased two different wobble stools. The Seville Airlift 360 Sit-Stand Adjustable Balance stool is the one I kept. I'm sitting on it now in my garage/man cave, and just purchased another one for my other computer desk. I have spent 12+ hours on this stool for the last week and it's a game-changer!Pros:Sturdy baseComfortable seatEnough movement to keep core engaged, mind/body/(feet!) occupiedMinimal base size for additional feet placement areaCons:Could use a few more degrees of wobble (tilt)Seat cushion could be slightly softer (not a deal breaker)After only a week of use this sit-stand stool has improved how I sit, stand, walk, and everything inbetween. My long-standing back muscle issue started waning, arm muscle issues are nearly gone, and neck muscles have noticably strengthened. The concept of this type of sitting is not new and neither is this kind of stool. I do, however, think most of its success is from the comfortable seat and small profile, yet large sturdy base that allows my feet ample room to rest under the stool and right at it's base--something other wobble stools cannot offer.I'm a really picky guy, and I highly recommend this stool.

Beau mais décevant...
Beau tabouret, solide. Mais siège très inconfortable. Et hauteur maximale à 26'' (pas 28''), ce qui est trop court pour mes besoins.

Just the chair I need for my standing desk
Loved the chair, and would give it 5 stars if the cushion’s not so warm. It’s probably meant for cooler climates.

Not easy to get the angle that is good for your back
We bought a few to try out for a standing desk. The Learniture stool won hands down. This was a second but not a close second. The problem is the base - it really just wants to stay upright. To make this good for your back you kind of have to have the stool at a significant angle and sit against it. The way the base is constructed it would in theory go there but wanted to spring back to the 90 degree position so strongly that you had to put too much effort into just keeping the angle. A good chair or stool must be comfortable enough that it "disappears", you don't notice it. If you really want to use this with a standing desk this is not a great choice.
