Affordable Light-duty option for inserting up to 1 1/4" brads into softer wood
Works as advertised. On highest settings, buried 1 1/4" brads into a poplar face frame on a birch plywood cabinet. To get the brads to bury completely, I had to put significant pressure on the tip, but nothing too outrageous. Instructions say to wait three seconds between nails, which I did. Not for rapid insertion of long brads into hard wood, but for what I needed it to do (8 brads into a face frame) it was perfect. It likely would not have worked with a harder wood and the full 1 1/4" brads, but I don't expect too much from a $70 corded electric nailer.I also intend to use it to mount beadboard and 1/2 trim pieces, and expect no issues with using shorter brads through MDF. I expect I'll actually have to turn the power down a bit to prevent it from pushing the brads all the way through the beadboard, which is only 3/16" thick. In general, it's a well-built, affordable option for someone who needs a light-duty nailer still capable of handling longer brads in certain situations. The cord is a minor nuisance, and you need a good extension cord to ensure full power to the unit, but it's far more affordable than getting an 18V wireless nailer (even if you already have the battery). Pneumatic nailers would definitely have more power, and if you've already got an air compressor, that's an option, but for light-duty weekend-warrior type work, this nailer is perfect.

Exactly what it needs to be
I read the other reviews and went ahead and bought this item, even though most of the other reviews were down around the 1-star area. I needed to tack down some molding quickly and my eyesight and dexterity aren't suited for hand-tacking. I lost my old Black and Decker brad gun and the brads the Stanley 2-in-1 I got for stapling insulation were way too small to go through the molding, so I looked here for a new nail gun.I don't have hundreds to spend on a cordless and don't have a compressor, so the only real choice for 1" or longer brads was the Arrow. Got it in one day (thanks Prime) and was pleased to find it took my old Black and Decker brads. Others have mentioned, the packing is pro, in a nice hard case that hold the gun and several packs of brads. The gun has a plastic sleeve for the nail guide to prevent scratching, but it can be removed if desired for a tight fit. There is also a "nail light" for those of you that want to nail in the dark, I guess. So I did my first strip of molding and got some of the same results the one-star reviewers saw - heads that stuck up and I needed to use a punch to finish them. So I went back and read the manual, trying to see if there was some form of tension adjustment like the Stanley 2-in-1 has and couldn't find one, but I did see they recommended 2-handed operation, with one hand pressing on the tower while the other pulls the trigger. So I did my second strip using the two-hand technique and - perfect! 1" brads through the molding, through the drywall and into the studs with counter-sunk heads! Exactly what I needed. Don't know if I would get the same results with harder woods (mine were pine studs with mahogany and plastic moldings), but it did what I wanted at a nice price, so I'm happy.

don't know if it'll work or not.
The print in the manual is so small that a person with 20/20 vision, using a medical grade magnifying glass can't read it. I found a copy of the manual on line and printed that and the print was only marginally larger. Next I'm going to try enlarge the images on my PC and do screen prints so I can hopefully read how to use this thing. What I was able to read was on the device that it was made in China. Won't be buying this brand again. May return it if I can ever read how to use it and it doesn't work. Looking for MADE IN AMERICA products going forward.I typed all this up on the ARROW page and just when I was ready to submit it their site "Encounter a problem" and all I typed was lost. HUM?1 star for now. May update and upgrade rating if I ever get this thing going and it actually works better than the manual.

Works OK, IF...
...and ONLY if, your stock is 100% flat and ONLY if you can use the recommended two-hand hold.- If you cannot use both hands, be prepared for the brads to drive incompletely, requiring later touch up.- And if your stock is not 100% flat, then you will not be able to use this item at all. It has a badly misdesigned "safety lock" which must be depressed in order for the nailer to work. This is impossible on stock that has any degree of curvature in it (such as crown molding, for example).- If you can live with these limitations, then great - this is a big $ savings over buying a compressor and brad nailer attachment. I can't.- Unable to recommend - this is one case where you should buy the alternative rather than this thing. For these significant limitations, it is over-priced.

Jammed up from beginning never worked right.
The instruction booklet has to be read with a magnifying glass, and my eyesight is good. Which is ridiculous because the word Arrow is huge then teeny tiny instructions. Jammed every other nail. sent it back because I could not get it to shoot more than one nail without having to open it up push the next nail into set it and then repeat, repeat, repeat...ended up to be 10 X's faster with hammer & nail.

Only drives a 1" nail 1/4" in to soft dry pine when on its highest setting.
Does not do what it was designed for. This is without doubt, the worst purchase i have made online, it looks good, seems well built, comes in a nice case but it just doesnt work. I purchased 1" nails to go with this, set it on high and it could only manage to drive them 1/4" into some soft pine that we were using for my sons diorama. Its rubbish, dont waste your time buying it, it shouldn't even be offered for sale, i question the ethics of those who sell it. As for the manufacture, Arrow have no business resealing a product for sale that under performs so much, i am simply stunned that this exists in the market place.
