Greatest Hits

I am a big fan of classic movies and Doris Day certainly had a pure clean sound. Just a wonderful compilation of her hits. I enjoy it very much.

I bought this cd for my 83 year old mother and she loves it!

In the Golden Age of Pop, with a wealth of amazing female singers. Doris Day stands out from the rest. She makes every note seem effortless, imbues every word with warmth, romance and wonder. It’s impossible not to fall in love with this voice. Doris Day is simply the best, and this comp captures that perfectly, with a mix of upbeat jazz and traditional pop ballads that allow her crystalline voice to shine.

Varied selection of Doris Day classic recordings associated with her film career and recordings with Big Bands and a few male soloists from the mid-20th century. Most are of good quality sound even though originally recorded before the advent of stereo. A few have a slightly "hallow" sound. First time I have heard her sing "Over the Rainbow." Worth the price for that rendition!

This is the best CD I have bought this year. Quality and sound is tops and many songs I have never heard before are now my favorite's. Was told CD was to arrive Tuesday but got it a day early.

A lot of music for the money. Excellent singer.

Ich liebe die Filme mit Doris Day. Auf der CD sind viele Songs, welche gleich an ihre Filme erinnern. Aber darüberhinaus gibt es noch viele weitere tolle Songs zu entdecken. Einer der Titel auf der ersten CD erinnert stark an Filmsongs aus den ersten Bond-Filmen. Kann ich jedem, der mit dieser Musik was anfangen kann, sehr empfehlen. Bin sehr glücklich mit dem Kauf. No conocía la faceta de crooner de Doris Day. Me ha sorprendido. De hecho, sus inicios como artista fueron como cantante, posteriormente como actriz. Lo desconocía. Recomiendo estos 3 CD's, son muy suaves, y no te cansa escucharlos, aunque pongas los tres seguidos. Buena música relajante y una voz estupenda. En mi opinión, es una muy buena compra.

Growing up in the 50s and 60s pop Music was much simpler, and if you were lucky you may have been able to afford to purchase one record a week. I loved Doris Day in films, what young man wouldn't. But I never got to buy her records and when she passed away I checked my music library and found I only had a couple of her songs on compilation albums. This album sorts that out. With 75 tracks its an Anthology of her music with many that she sung in her movies. I would recommend This album and at Amazons price its a no brainer. RIP Doris.
