Exacrty what I needed
This remote was a little more expensive than others that claimed to work with the Optoma HD70 projector, but I decided to play it safe. Pay a little more, increase the chances of getting what I needed. I am happy I did. The remote functions perfectly with the projector, allowing me the access all the menu options that are NOT available using just the buttons on the projector. BTW the Optoma customer service rep told me over the phone that all menu options should be available directly from the projector buttons. Not so!

I have the Optoma EH500 and I lost the remote on a job. I ordered this and works just like my old one.

Crap!
The remote the school gave me for my projector never worked. I bought a new battery and still no luck, so I spent money out of my own pocket to purchase this one. What a disappointment! It works maybe one time out of 25 tries to turn on the projector. That's it. After that, I can't get it to change the source or turn the projector off. The only reason I don't send it back is that it saves me from having to stand up in a student's chair to punch a projector button one time out of 8 times per day. I'm too old for this business.

excellent spare option
after my remote was broken on an accident I searched for a replacement and found this good option with backlit and the same model as my optoma old remote but newer appareance. after I received I tested and it worked inmediatly with no pairing or setup.

The media could not be loaded. It worked for my projector so happy with the purchase. It doesn’t come with batteries though so you have to buy that.
