The amount of "whow!"-pictures is too high to handle

As a collector of Elliott Erwitt books, I had to get this latest title. However, I knew that it contained mostly commercial work, rather than the personal work that Erwitt has published a lot of in his black and white books. Still, the images in the book are very appealing and make for an essential part of my and anyone's collection.

I love Erwitt's photography, and could not resist buying his kolor oevre as well. to be honest ill stick woth the black and white stuff.

Keine Frage, ein tolles Buch. Trotzdem gibt einen Kritikpunkt:Warum stehen die Beschreibungen zu den Bildern nicht direkt bei den Fotos sondern gesammelt ganz am Ende des Buches? Die Fotos werden offensichtlich rein nach optischen Gesichtspunkten im Buch präsentiert ganz ohne chronologischer oder thematischer Struktur. Und trotzdem findet man bei den Fotos selbst keinerlei Hinweis auf Jahr, Ort oder Motiv. Das macht es leider sehr mühsam, zumindest ein Minimum an Information zu den Fotos herauszufinden, da man dazu bei so gut wie jedem Bild auf die letzte Seite blättern muss, was auch angesichts der Größe des Buches wirklich mühsam ist. Irgendwann gibt man es auf und blättert dann einfach nur noch durch die Bilder ohne irgendwas darüber zu wissen, was eigentlich sehr schade ist.
