Great at first
I just got mine today and haven't had any problems, even with the Vista operating system after I downloaded the new software from Nintendo's website the only thing is that it does get hot after a while and you need to turn off your firewall when instaling it but it runs great :)*UPDATE:* I have since had mine for about a month now and now I had to uninstall the files then restart my computer and reinstall them each and every time that I want to use it (at least with my own experience anyway).I waited for such a long time to be able to use the online setup at home through this so I didn't have to go sit in McDonalds in order to use it but now I see why its not even supported by Nintendo anymore. If you can get a wireless router at home then I recommend getting one of those instead of shelling out the money for this junk unless you want to go through this same process each and everytime you want to enjoy the really great online play that the DS has to offer.

Was nice once upon a time, but now?
This product was good for awhile when I first received it years ago. However, it stopped working long ago. Many who have owned these have had them go bad, or not work. Nintendo has discontinued support for this device, so you are better off just getting a wireless router and configuring your Wii or your DS to use that instead.I'd consider this product dead and obsolete. Do not buy!

Mac + Nintendo?
I'm disappointed that Nintendo hasn't come out with a version of the software that works on a Mac.I have Parallels installed on my MacBook Pro with a Windows XP virtual machine, and even though the software recognizes the device in this virtual installation of Windows I can't get my DS to connect unless I use an actual Windows XP machine (and not a Mac pretending to run Windows :P ) It's a good thing I still run Windows XP on one of my laptops.Note to Nintendo - Mac is gaining some market share. It might be time to come up with some compatible software!

Great idea however Numerous problems
As said in other reviews, Nintendo offers little support for this. The idea is if you don't have a wireless modem or router, but do have an internet connection (i.e. via a wired DSL modem or broadband modem) you can use this device to connect your DS, DS lite, DSi, and I suppose 3DS (not sure) to the internet via your computer's USB.The problem is, it doesn't always work, and, it is very expensive new. IF you do purchase one of these, buy it used and cheap so if you don't have luck with it you don't waste a lot of money. It doesn't matter if it comes with the disk, you can get the drivers off of Nintendo's website, the last I knew. Beyond that, though, Nintendo offers no support for the device. A shame, since it is a good idea.I don't think this works with Vista or 7, not sure about MAC, only tried on XP. If you do buy a device like this, however, I do recommend that you buy THIS ONE, the one made by Nintendo - I tried another device from a 3rd party company that was supposed to do the same thing and it was complete junk. The software didn't work, the hardware was shoddy (it felt like the device was going to fall apart).

Be sure to use Windows Vista
I do not have much to say about this product. It works perfectly IF you have the most updated Windows XP driver, which you will not receive off the disc; chances are, you will have to download the most recent drivers from [...] support site.I have a Late 2008 Model Mac Book Intel, 2gb RAM, 32-bit laptop with Mac OS X Leopard and Windows Vista OS via Boot Camp, and Windows Vista on my computer would not install the most updated drivers. The installer would freeze halfway through after plugging in my USB connector. However, when I used a Windows XP Professional (SP3) virtual machine on Parallels Desktop, the driver installed perfectly. Therefore, the Nintendo WIFI USB Connector worked perfectly. On Nintendo's web site, the latest driver (version 1.07 I believe) says that the drivers enable the WIFI usb connector on Vista, but this was not the case with me. I even turned off the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender and the installer would not finish. Again, it worked perfectly with Windows XP. I'm not saying this product will not work with your Windows Vista computer, but if I were you, I would use Windows XP to maximize your chances of this great product to work with your computer.Overall, this product is awesome. With the exception of the Vista incompatibility on my computer, the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector works perfectly for me, and it would greatly benefit you if you have a router with a security protocol that is WPA or WPA2 and you cannot change the security because of your parents or you live in an apartment with no access to the router settings, because the Wi-Fi USB connector will not work with WPA or WPA2. Cheers! 4/5

Best money I've spent in a while.
I don't know why Nintendo discontinued these, they are god sent. Before I had to change the settings on my router every time I wanted to play a game with some friends and then stand in the one corner where I could get a signal. But now with this thing I don't need to change my router settings and I'm able to be three stories away and still have two green bars on my DS. This thing is fan-freaking-tastic.I'm using Windows 7 32x with the latest update. Had to install it under 'Windows XP Compatibility.'
