ZAQ Lotus Aroma Essential Oil Diffuser LiteMist Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Humidifier, Color-Changing - 500 ML - for Office Home Bedroom Baby Room Study Yoga Spa

I'm a huge fan of ZAQ products - I have a ZAQ Allay I bought about four years ago. I will also mention I purchased the ZAQ Noor. Both of them work nicely and have the standard ceramic disc with the metal ring that is replaceable. I purchased the Lotus thinking it was the same system and just a bigger reservoir. I noticed immediately that this has a ceramic disc surrounded by what appears to be a plastic/silicon ring. These are tucked beneath the reservoir so you'll never be able to change it. I figured it wasn't a big deal as long as the Lotus performed just as well as the other ZAQ products. After one use I noticed my essential oils smelt very strange within two hours of the Lotus being turned on. By strange, I mean the oil smelled like it went bad - it smelled like pee. I thought this was a fluke so I cleaned out the reservoir really well and put in some more oil. Again after a few hours it smelled like the oils had gone bad. I soon discovered that the design of the reservoir is concave rather than flat like the Noor or Allay. This allows the oils to cake up and gather at the bottom of the unit and form a thick layer of yellowish gunk that smells very bad. I've noticed the following oils go bad before the diffuser is empty: Ylang Ylang, Orange, Tangerine, Pine. Lavender and Jasmine seem okay on their own. But I didn't buy this so I could only use two types of oil? I have since gone back to using the Allay in my bedroom because I like using more than one essential oil and I don't want my room stinking like mildew/old oil/pee.

This diffuser is wonderful! So wonderful, in fact, that I purchased a second one. It holds enough water to diffuse for 3-4 hours on high or 10-12 hours on low. The mist, even on the low setting, is strong and creates enough aroma to fill a large room. I also like how easy it is to fill this unit: remove top, add water/essential oils, place top back on and turn on (the buttons are on the lower side, could not be easier.) I have used all kinds of essential oils, including citrus and blends with no problems. The heavier oils, of course, will leave a residue but it has been easy to clean (wipe down with paper towel/water/q-tips.) The lighting is also beautiful and peaceful; the colors rotate but you can select a color and it will stay on that color until the setting is changed with the press of a button. I have noticed that if you are diffusing for a longer period of time, say more than a couple of hours, that you may need to add extra oils after a certain period of time. But that is true of most diffusers. This is a good buy - my first Zaq diffuser.

Wow this thing is NOISY! It's more on the humidifier side and not so much a diffuser. You can only smell the oils for about five minutes even though it can run 8 hours before you need to refill the water. It's just a big plastic thing, like another viewer said "it looks like a large cool whip tub." Doesn't look like a lotus flower. I do like the lights. They will change from color to color or you set to one color or turn the lights off completely. There isn't much difference from the two settings of diffuser/ humidifier. I like this item as a small humidifier, however if you are looking for a solid diffuser, I would advise against this product. It's too expensive for the quality, noise, and function.

I bought this product about 3 or 4 years ago and absolutely loved it! The smell that it gives off is very strong and you can literally see how much vapor comes out of it, almost like a humidifier which I love (and my plants love too). It runs for a really long time because of how large the water tub is and is pretty easy to clean compared to others I have seen. I sleep with it on and the colors on and it gives the room a very relaxing feel. I even brought this with me to 4 different countries but unfortunately on my last trip it broke in my suitcase (my fault for packing it poorly). I superglued it back together and it even worked for almost a year after that! During the holidays I was gifted a new one from the brand "pure" but it did not even turn on so I returned it and was happy to see that this diffuser was still available! This one works amazing as well and was definitely worth the price!

I returned this because it kept shutting off. I used it as soon as I got it and it shut off by itself several times. I have read that you will have to clean these but I did not think that at $54.99 that I should have to clean it right out of the box. It is very large and in all fairness this was my very first diffuser and I should have read the reviews better to see how large it was. I could smell the oil at first when I had it closed in my bedroom all night. But when I woke up it was still running with no fragrance whatsoever. I had put several drops of oil in it. It is very pretty with the lights. I think this thing is too large for an oil diffuser and is better as a humidifier. I think that no matter how much oil you put in this, it becomes so diluted that you can't even smell it. Overall not good for me for what I wanted it for.

So I have several different brands of diffusers, and this is by far my favorite. I like the look of it, like the options, and I like the long run time. I've had mine for over 2 years and it's still working great. Although, one of my preschoolers popped off the little round piece on the bottom side of the lid section, and I think it got thrown away. So mine now does make a little bit of a mess spitting water out. But I really can't complain since that's my fault.

Had my for a year and needed to be replace under warranty. Had no issues in receiving a replacement! 2nd unit has lasted for 3 years with normal maintenance and still going strong. Price is definitely double others but, can’t attest to their quality. I’ve used all kinds of oils and the filtered water thru my fridge with no issues. As for smells, I definitely smell it for HOURS while it’s on. I can have it on in a bedroom 40 feet away & I know it’s working because the flame on my gas stove will appear a different color when I’ve had the diffuser going. So I know the microdroplets are dispersing throughout my 1300 sqft home.

Love that you can turn off the light completly. Love that you can put so much water and you can modify the mist quantity.
