This moss is growing beautifully!
This moss is great. I bought from two other companies, and they did not survive (before I planted them). Bio Dude is growing and has what looks like seed buds. I will be buying again from Bio Dude!

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
When I ordered this moss, I had no idea what to expect. As I live in a very warm area of the USA, I fastidiously tracked the package to make sure it was not in my mailbox too long. When it arrived, I immediately retrieved it from the street. The package was light but pretty large, about 4x6x8 inches. I opened it and saw the most beautiful green, lush moss through the clear box front! Excitedly, I opened it and removed moss for what seemed forever because, although it was in 4 pieces, the pieces were really large! The moss smelled very fresh, and it was very clean, with beautiful tendrils rising above its surface. I pulled out a large rectangular plastic food bin (a short rectangular one about 12x8 inches) and lay the moss down: I had to overlap the pieces just a bit innorder to get them in the container. I poured a large bottle of spring water over the moss to give it a drink. The moss immediately sprang into shape, and I can hardly wait to create my terrariums tomorrow! The quality of this moss is absolutely the highest, and it is definitely durable moss because it endured the mailing process to my home. The price is well below what I feel I was going to have to pay. There is so much moss here that it is a huge value for the money. Now I know that I can buy more supplies from this seller with confidence! I posted an UNTOUCHED photo of it so you can see how beautiful it is. I did NOT retouch that photo!

I didn’t know there was this much green in the whole galaxy
When it comes to ordering live moss online, I always hold my breath waiting to see if it arrives alive (and how much you get for the price.) I’m happy to report that it was very green when it arrived, and still is! In fact, it puffed up on its own after being placed into the terrariums and thoroughly misted for the first time. It’s a lot of moss for the price, too. You can tell by the simple no-frills paper box it comes in that it’s picked fresh, unlike something that’s preserved and vacuum packed. I didn’t submerge any of the moss in water before planting but fortunately I haven’t noticed any unwanted hitchhiking critters coming from it. Thanks for the generous portion, TheBioDude!

Huge pieces
Ok, I rated this 3 stars. I ordered them for my little crystal and air plant terrariums. They are small globes, and these pieces that were sent were VERY large. Which is awesome, in thr sense you get a lot for your money with this company. I was just going to cut the pieces down to size to stick in my terrariums. No problem. The problem comes in when I soaked them on arrival. I read that's what you're supposed to do. They turned brown and started dying. I also read after you are not supposed to use tap water? Which is what I used. So here is where the 3, not 5 stars, comes in. Because the pieces died, my own fault of course, but I'm not going to buy bottled water just to soak the moss in. Is my review unfair? I don't know, just please be aware, you cannot use tap water to soak your moss, you need bottled/filtered water. You get a lot for your money, so that is a large plus. Good company, good product, just sucks you can't use your own water.

Moss is ok, but why?
The box was torn wide open. The moss seems fine, but both top and bottom were open. This seems a bit odd to have happened on accident? Really disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised
This was my first time buying moss-I've suddenly become interested in terrariums after thinking they were lame when I was a kid in the 70s. The moss arrived in a box stuffed full of good sized mats or mounds of, what looks like to my untrained eye, 2 varieties. When pieced together they made up a probably 8x12" area. I felt the amount was a great value for the price. I bought the moss 3 1/2 months ago, didn't "plant" it right away but it's now thriving and even growing. Other reviews complained that it arrived dry but this seemed logical to me for shipping weight, packaging and preventing rot. The instructions about the type of water you use should definitely be followed-moss won't survive on tap water with chlorine and fluoride in it. I use bottled spring water. For terrariums you don't need much anyway. Have fun!
