Sons new favorite book. Fold out pages are nice too.

It looks really great on the outside. And Usborne is a well known, quality brand. But I did not prefer the layout on the inside. The pictures were not as amazing as it seemed from the front. It was too cluttered with too many words. I had purchased it for a 3 year old. Maybe it would be great for an older child who can read for himself.

This is a great book. Lovely pictures. Good strong, thick pages. My grandson loves it.

Very nice colorful illustrations with large 4 page spread outs one showing the larger whales in detail. Has descriptions.. Someone was selling these at a Baby Expo today and I bought it. Looked on Amazon to see if it was available. Same price for a new one but I bet the used ones are nice as well. It's a sturdy book.

My grandson was studying sea creatures so this was a great adjunct to his school work.

we live near the ocean so my 2 year old son is interested in all things to do with the sea now. he loves this book and the bright illustrations. he is surprisingly gentle with the big fold out pages, and is interested in the bits in information even though it is written for children a bit older than him.

Bought this for my nephew for his 5th birthday. Brilliant quality for money. The art is amazing. He absolutely loved it!

Beautiful and informative as all Usborne books are. This was a present for a little boy who is obsessed with all things underwater in preparation for his holiday to the seaside. His mum tells me he has been glued to it since he got it, and can now tell her the names and features of sea creatures she hopes never to meet!

This is the best book I have ever read on Marine Biology. I bought it for my grandchildren - and it has really ignited their interest and passion in all creatures under the sea. It informed me too. Fantastic book - I recommend unreservedly!
